Preferrential treatment...an unfortunate part of the game

For whatever reason, it seems that no matter what the calls appear to be to the casual observer and the armchair analyst, the team with the better "reputation" seems to get the benefit of the doubt on questionable calls. I'm not saying it just happens to the Falcons, but shouldn't it be more of a situation in which the refs see a foul, trust what they "see," and make the call accordingly?

Seems that they see fouls, look at which teams are involved, and interpret the rules based on that...only at times. But it happens...

Thoughts?
