yippiefan
Why would we do that? All we need is CBs that aren't legally considered little people, and a little more depth.BVG is cool with me, give 'em another year to get some more pieces.GO FALCONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!YIPPIE!!!!!!!!!!!! Brewcrew
I promise you there is a zero percent chance we are dumping BVG. He's far from the problem. So you you might want to start looking at what players will be available in the draft and FA, if you really feel like playing the what-if game. Dharma Initiative
I've seen to many good players get drafted to our defense for it to be the FIFTH WORST IN THE NFL!

GetUSom3
How is it that we cannot get 1 Sac on TB's rookie QB??? He has 8 fumbles coming into the game and we turn him into Bart Starr??? Do we blame our players for not calling Blitzes? It's more than frustrating to see that guy sit back there and throw at will! Our defense has given up more than 50 20+ plays this season! That is the MOST in the NFL. Just a little side note: If you have weak Cornerbacks on a football team, it is a known fact you rush the QB and get him our of Sync or tackle him for a loss. Why are we getting zero heat on the QB???
Dharma Initiative
Also a Houston's strength is jamming the receiver and going man-to-man. He is ALWAYS 10 yards off the receiver at the LOS and plays a lot of zone. That is an example of not utilizing your players to their strengths. Hatch
Why doesn't Mike Smith take over the DC calling anyways? When Smith was the DC for Jags, they had a really good defense.

Hatch
BVG is not a good DC, he will never be one, hopefully a college team will go after him for a HC job, like ND.
GetUSom3
Why are the opposing offenses able to pick up the few blitzes that we attempt? It seems that we are not disguising them very well. I give Bierman credit as he is playing his heart out, but we need penetration to be effective. Can we blame the players for the lack of a serious pass rush? What responsibility does BVG have to make sure we get some heat on the QB? E. T.
I agree...There is better out there. Greg williams turned N.O.'s defense around quick by utilizing the players correctly and plus he has a better scheme.I dont see BVG being an impact! ugadawg
It is simple when most of our DL only require single blockers it leave the other OL the RB, and the TE all as possible players to pick up the blitz. Our blitz's our CB's all are compounded by the lack of push from the front 4 unit

Falcon Fanatic
yeah, then he can go back to UGAWhere would he go? Willie Martinez bought himself another year with that win over Tech. I find that highly amusing and ironic that the win over Tech is going to save the job of the man UGA fans despise the most.

A great pass rushing DE(that you somehow can't figure out how to use this year, pass coverage???), a great LB, a very solid LB in Peterson, two very good safeties, and maybe not the best covering corners but very fast corners that he doesn't know how to utilize to their strengths.Houston is a jamming, man-to-man receiver but the plays ALWAYS line him 10 yards back off the WR and usually into zone coverage. He is forcing players into their weaknesses.

Coleman is out of position due to injury and is not that good at SS. Houston can not turn his head so close or off his head still does not turn. Peterson is good against the run weak in pass coverage. Also you listed drafted but you return with FA's as your argument. So which is it. So lets see BVG had an aggressive D and the front 4 rushed very well in college and now those guys are in the pros doing it and he then went to learn from Smith and also learned from Zimmer. So maybe he does know what he is doing he just does not have the tools to work with.
