Roudy1234
I think BVG should be watching the Sunday Night game and taking notes from **** Lebeau on how to run a good zone blitz with a DE in Coverage. I hope some of you guys are watching the game and know what I'm talking about.
wordtobigbird
how can BVG make them execute the player better? the Xs and Os for a zone blitz are the same.
Roudy1234
LOL I guess, I just hate when we're caught with a DE in coverage and it never works for us. But the timing of the call matters alot.
vel
i honestly think BVG is constricted by the lack of experience/talent. he tries to run some of those things but they dont seem to know how to wreak havoc when they blitz. look at the Ravens/Steelers, when they blitz they come regardless of whats in their way. when we blitz we look for the hole to shoot thru instead of blowing up the play and shaking up the QB. until we learn that we wont be a successful blitzing defense. DirtyBirdSupabowl
They have Lb's that can play De we don't
insight
The key is getting pressure on the QB, which forces early throws and mistakes. When we blitz we are not getting to the QB fast enough which is why they are not effective. The fact is, we don't have any playmakers on defense like the ravens. GetUSom3
BVG should be replaced. TB's Rookie QB was not sacked one time??? This must be a coaching problem. Our blitzes are predictable and mostly non-existent. Again we need CB's but if we sacked the guy a couple of times perhaps he would make more mistakes. Just frustrating.
