bozoatl
I don't know a whole lot about college ball or the BCS, so I have a question.Georgia is currently 6-5. They play Ga Tech tomorrow, and I suspect they will lose.Is UGA Bowl eligible with a 6-6 record? I think winning 6 games gives them a bowl bid, but I'm not certain.Undoubtedly, if they are Bowl eligible, they'll probably get an invite to the Toilet Bowl............. bozoatl
OK, well I talked with a guy (actually in person, not a thread ), who said that 6 wins would get UGA a Bowl Game. So, that pretty much settles it for me.But seriously guys: THANKS for all your input and help on this!!
Carter
Yeah the rules are that a team must win 6 games to earn bowl eligibility. But eligibility and getting an invitation are 2 different things. As many bowls as there seems to be today, it is still often the case that those 6-6 teams may not be invited to a bowl game.I think Georgia will get a bowl game, win or lose tomorrow... but no, 6-6 teams are not guaranteed a bowl.
