MorganGrafixx
He has my support! The only way I will root against him (or any Falcon) is if he were wearing a jersey with a different team's logo on it.

BCEagleATLFalcon
Bump, bump, bump. ALWAYS have his back. You've still got it, Matty. I have NO doubt. As I wrote in a much longer reply last night, I didn't follow you to the NFL for nothin'. Truly, I have NO doubts that Ryan is going to be just fine. And, when he's got a few Superbowl rings, all the true fans on these boards will be able to say they watched and supported the next great NFL QB through his growing pains. Tandy
man he is going to be fine.. none of this stuff is unexpected.. and anyone who thinks otherwise probably needs to actually watch football for a few more years before they are allowed to postQFTI don't understand all the shock and surprise. Every single Quarterback in the NFL has had to go through the process of becoming a mature quarterback. Some have had more success than others in the beginning - but I don't really know of any who did better in their second year than the mature years.I have no problem with sticking with him until he struggles through this learning curve. As long as our coaches continue working with him and the team still believes in him - which is pretty obvious - then I can deal with it.He's a second year quarterback and if we want a very good to great quarterback - we have to let him learn. This is the problem with Tony Romo. Although he's been in the league for 7 years - this is only his 4th year playing. He's just now coming into maturity as a quarterback - but they've been judging him as a mature quarterback for the last 3 years - while he was learning. mattyicefalcon
I have no grudges angainst Matt BUT, I think it's only fair to say Redman deserves a chance to run atleast 1 quarter.

Espo
THATS MY QUARTERBACK!!!!I am will still be a Matt Ryan fan for as long as he is a Falcon... I will cheer for whoever is the Falcons QB...Matt Ryan does not play defense...

Matt Ryan is solid. He's young. Other than Roddy and Gonzo, his receivers blow. This "play Redman" stuff is absurd.
Tandy
Tandy, do you think Chris Redman desrves a shot in ANY of the games this year even though it's for barely a quarter??Not at this stage of the game. It could really backfire on us. If Smith pulls Ryan now and sticks Redman in - he could break the trust factor which is so needed with these young quarterbacks. Ryan needs to feel that the coach believes in him and has his back.Look - it's painful to watch - but it is not unexpected. This is the hardest time in a young quarterbacks career - as this will be the year he is transitioning. As hard as it is for a fan to watch - and it is brutally painful sometimes - it's a necessary transition. We will benefit from this in the end. I believe that.
