Just saw the NFC/AFC playoff alignments (IF the playoffs started today)...

...was watching NFL Total Access just now and they showed the Falcons with the 2nd Wild Card spot (the Eagles had the other), with several teams "in the hunt." Needless to say, Sunday's game against the Giants is HUGE.

The Falcons are in the driver's seat for now. Time to get it done!

To be honest BB....if the playoffs started today...I would see no point in us being in them. With the way we are playing and playcalling....Why risk the injuries in an unwinnable game! That is unless the redskins are in the playoffs too!

e

Yup, were not playoff worthy. I'm hoping for a 9-7 record so we can get back to back winning seasons.

You're absolutely right. They should just quit now and forfeit the remaining games so nobody gets injured for next year.

go falcons! didnt see the game, but man if turner could have stayed in!!

did we not continue to run on them with snelling? ovie? norwood? what happened?

Had Turner not gotten hurt yesterday, he was well on his way to rushing for over 200 yards. The Panthers D had NO answer for him, but reading the AF.com home page, it seems like Snelling is more than ready to step in for however long Turner will be out.

Cardinals had no business being in the playoffs last year...until they rolled off 3 straight wins and came within 2 minutes of winning the super bowl...

I know a lot of people are knocking Mularkey for that call, and I was too at that time. Yeah, the logical thing is do what has got us this far in the game(running the ball)....And just MY opinion, I believe Mularkey was trying to throw the Panties off guard by throwing a long playaction pass to disrupt the tempo...Basically, Mularkey probably thought that the Panties were looking for the run, and he tried something different....If that play worked, we would be saying what a genius he is, but obviously it didn't, but Im just gonna move on, and hop for the best next week.

It sucks Turner is hurt, but I am pretty confident Snelling can get the job done. He has looked very good this year.

If Mularkey had called a dive to Snelling on that play that set up a 2 and 9 the same people would be saying why the hail didn't he throw with eight men in the box? Trust me.

According to the announcers yesterday Deangelo Williams was running all over us and Turner was struggling because of the heat.
