jidady
University of Tennessee head coach Lane Kiffin announced Monday that freshman wide receiver Nu’Keese Richardson and defensive back Mike Edwards have been permanently dismissed from the football team.“After extensive and thorough research of the situation over the last four days and considering various disciplinary options, I’ve decided it’s in the best interest of our program to remove Nu’Keese and Mike,” Kiffin said. “As I’ve said many times before, we hold our student-athletes to an extremely high standard on and off the field. Our student-athletes must be responsible members of society, and this type of conduct will not be tolerated.“We want a positive culture for our student-athletes that allows them to succeed in the classroom, on the field, and in life after college. My hope is that these two young men will learn from their terrible decision. Clearly, their actions have no place in our program.”Janzen Jackson will continue to not be allowed to participate in team activities while Kiffin awaits additional information. freakyfalcon
Wonder if they'll be able to stay in school on their academics alone?nope they are gone. They were there on football scholarship not academics. You may see them at one of the Division 1-AA schools or HBCU.

Carter
Don't attempted arm robbery carry a mandatory sentenceI don't know... they have to be convicted and face sentencing from a judge.Aren't they still in jail too? What a couple of morons. Jackson might pull his head out of his a$$ after this with the way Kiffin handled it, but who knows. He hasn't shown he's the brightest bulb so far either. We won't agree here at all because IMO it's ridiculous to use the he is a victim and had no knowledge what his wild boyz were doing.

LawDawg
I'm just waiting for a disgruntled Nu'Keese to expose Lane's recruiting violations... that is of course, unless Lane paid him even more to stay quiet. :P

I am not saying kiffin and company did btw, but that is what i have read on a number of boards.
Volunteer Falcon
I still don't believe they cheated to get them, what I do believe is there are a lot of fans out there that are still butt hurt that they changed their commitment and are taking stabs in the dark praying it was just because of cheating.
