Ryan isn't the blame of all our struggles but he's the lead dog or "Falcon". There's a lot of Ryan apologist on here calling him the obvious, a 2nd year qb. True he is but he's still a staring qb in the National Football League which makes him one of the elite athletes in the world. Just based on that, we shouldn't be holding his hand. I cant do what he does at his level but I can compare him to other qb's at his level and could honestly say, this isn't Matty Ice of last year. His decision making has gotten worse, he's throwing into double coverage & over & under throwing receivers. Since week 5, he has thrown 11 int's, and thrown for 1,360 yard in that span. He's on pace to throw 29 int's this year. With this kind of production, we will NOT have our first back to back winning season this year. He deserve his criticism because it the nature of his position. Enough of rubbing his back. HOLD HIM ACCOUNTABLE FOR HIS MISTAKES!!!!

We're also losing with White, Abraham, Elam, Houston, Gonzalez, McLure, Owens, Babs, Jenkins, JA98.......

Oh, and we're 5-4....a WINNING record. The game yesterday was the only game we SHOULD have one. We lost 3 games ON THE ROAD to 3 of the top six or seven teams in the NFL.

I hear what you're saying 21 but enough of sugar coating Ryan mistakes. You say we're 5-4, what if we lose next week? What will you say then? We're 5-5? Not a losing record? Forgive me for my high expectations of The Falcons. Coming into this season I knew we were in trouble defensively so that's no surprise, but we suppose to have an offense that rivals the Pats, Colts and I hate to say it but the Saints. This is a team game. That I know. I'm only saying what i see from the qb position. Whether it's Ryan, Redman or Wilson.

People have given me guff (did I just say guff? LAME!) over saying this: We can beat the Giants. I think it is because we were fresh off a loss yesterday, but still.

So what if we win next week? It is on the road, vs. a team with a record over .500 prior to playing us (despite 4 losses in a row) and off a bye.

Then we're 6-4 with our next 3 games at home. Any Given Sunday. The pendulum swings hard this season it seems.

Normally I give a -1 for anybody who uses the phrase "It is what it is" in their thread title, because it's just such a stupid phrase (and by the way, recently voted as the 3rd most annoying phrase in the english language behind "whatever" and "you know")

But today I am cutting you a break because there is just so much dumb stuff on the board. Congrats I guess.

I KNOW, RIGHT!

(my #1 most annoying phrase)

Are you asking me if you know? WTF!!

Those other teams are full of NFL players too, and they all get paid lots and they are trying hard to win the game as well.

True but they're are teams like the Panthers, the Lions, the Rams & Chiefs. These are teams we suppose to beat. We are a way better team than Carolina. I cant for the death of me figure out why we cant score 28-35 pts a game. We have the Pro Bowl skill players. I still feel Ryan will lead us to a Super Bowl but as of now, what's wrong?

And "It is what it is" is overused and annoying but it is what it is. Lol.

We're going to agree to disagree on this one. I think we are a far more superior team than Carolina but, any given Sunday. You thought I was gonna say it is..... Lol.

The Panthers have the top duo of RBs in the league. They have two very good WRs. They have a good TE. They have a QB that is streaky but proven. They have a CB that is far better than anybody corner on our team and a DE that is one of the very best in the league.

There is a ton of talent on the Carolina Panthers. I know they struggled early, but it's basically the same team that went 12-4 last year.

Well, since we have a winning record, we are actually winning with Ryan.

So, that means you are completely wrong.

Why is this? Well, you are either stupid about the subject of football, or you are just full of sh!t.

So, which is it? Are you stupid, or are you just full of sh!t?

:P

Well good sir, even though your audition for a comedic relief completely sucks, I'll entertain you. We are 5-4. Yes that's a winning record but we have also lost 4 out of the past 5 games we've played meaning we a losing more that we're winning. Now, to answer your questions, I know my fair share of football and even gave you numbers to support my frustrations. The second question may be true because I've just had lunch and my stomach feels a little tight so I'll give you that one. Now are you really a "Voice Of Reason" or are you really stupid when it comes to rational and comprehensive statements? In your terms, my post.

Not to interfere with your little spat here, but the Falcons have lost 3 of 4, not 4 of 5.

Or lost 3 of the last 5.

Or even lost 4 of the last 9.

The problem is throwing deep on the final drive with 4mins left, when all we had to do was move the ball, run the clock down, and score either a TD or FG

I thought the dinks and dunks were working great with Snelling. I know Ryan is frustrated as well and he's trying to win games with every throw but there are times to be aggressive and there are times when you just have to manage the game.

I know. We dink and dunk all year, and when we actually need to run out the clock and get enough yards for the FG, Mularkey dials up the bomb?! WTF?

Out of all the mistakes and miscues, we could still have won the game if they would have just stuck with the gameplan and moved the ball while running the clock out. Why would you go for the quick score with 4mins left.

SIDE NOTES:

1. Houston and Abraham need to have better awareness, I have had enough with the arm tackling.

2. Abraham was up against a backup LT, and still could not get pressure on the QB. Abraham is on a contract year and hasn't given us any reason to pay him a lucritive deal

3. Didn't we learn last year that Muhammed will abuse Grimes?

4. Hill didn't show much

5. All the Turner haters got their wish. Congrats. Yall are officially idiots. This man has carried the team the last 3 weeks. 9 carries for 111 yds (12.3 per carry) Turner has been our offense the last 3 weeks.

6. Playcalling is predictable, surprise surprise, it's the same reason Mularkey was fired from his last three jobs.

7. Our WR's get no seperation from the DB's, pass rush forces Matt to release uncomfortably and force tight throws.

I agree with all that you said! It seems like we're playing to the level of our competition. The best game. play calling wise, was against New Orleans. I thought after that game we was gonna see more of that type of play calling and more blitz schemes.

You can say this about any QB in the league in their second year. Ryan may be an elite athlete but so is everyone else in the NFL.

What QB should you compare Ryan to? Is it even fair to compare a QB with 10+ years in the league to a 2nd year QB. At one point in their career, all QBs in the league went through growing pains. Drew Brees absolutely sucked his 2nd year with a 76 QB rating which prompted San Diego to draft Rivers. Eli Manning was on the bench behind Kurt Warner. Tony Romo was still sitting on the bench as well as Aaron Rodgers and Vince Young was benched early in his 2nd season. McNabb was at 70% passer rating and a 58% completion rate in his second year. As for the Rookie starters should Detroit give up on Stafford and NYJ give up on Sanchez? They're both not doing as well as Favre, Warner, and Brady. Peyton Manning had 23 interceptions and an 88 QB rating in his 4th year.

Seriously, growth process applies to any profession. Do you have a career or are you a student? Is someone 2 years removed from College a failure because they are not a CEO, President, Vice President or Partner in their firm? For most professional it takes 15 - 20 years in their career field to get to that point. They don't go straight from entry level to CEO either. Their is a promotional path. In your world it seems success should come instantly without paying any dues. Did McDonalds, Wal-Mart etc. start out in their second year with billions in sales? Really, In the real world everything has a growth period.

Yup, they called aggressive blitzes against the #1 offense in the NFL. Then we play struggling offenses and we don't have the same aggressiveness.

I've been saying this all season, and I still believe that this offense will be grounded as long as Mularkey is calling the plays. It's the same tired plays, It looks like we run the same 20 plays every game.

NOTE TO MULARKEY!! The side pass to the flat NEVER works. IT NEVER WORKS. They ran it to Jenkins twice yesterday and guess what. IT DIDN'T WORK.

I don't understand why we go for 4th and 1's throughout the game, but when the game is on the line and we are behind with limited time, we don't go for it.
