Joremarid
He still didn't have to throw the ball. We had plenty of time to run off the clock. Ryan CHOSE to throw the ball when he didn't have to.uh he is the qb he was trying to make a play. we had been playing with 1 rb since the first half. FalconinPA
lol you can make any qb look good by skipping over their bad games.Except for maybe JaMarcus Russell
Falcons Ace
I like Redman, and I like him as our back-up, but there's no way in h3ll I'd bench Ryan for a minute for Redman.
Joremarid
Except for maybe JaMarcus Russell well you would have to do a lot of skipping over.
Peyton
So how you would you fix the defense, if it's the problem? Also, is Ryan depending or looking for Gonzalez too much?Probably, but it doesn't help that we are running so many patters with just two receivers in the route. On defense, the Falcons need better players. The defensive line is pretty good but I think they really need another consistently effective pass rusher. The LBs really can't seem to play in coverage very well, and the secondary is pretty poor IMO.I am cool with where this team is at, look at where it has come from, but I hope the Falcons are more aggresive in FA. The Saints did absolute wonders for their defense in FA.

The Saints did absolute wonders for their defense in FA.On defense; I think our priority needs to be CB, DE, and OLB. Peterson is a one year, maybe two year fix at best, Abraham isn't someone we need to be relying on next year(without being a mosnter pass rusher, he's not all that great), and we VERY obviously are lacking at the CB position. Houston seems to be getting better, he actually did surprisingly well against Smith, but he's not who I want to be relying on in the long term. On offense I say we need another WR besides Jenkins, hopefully Douglas will be able to fill that role. I also think we need to look at potentially replacing Blalock. He's been the weak line of our line for a while now. He has the talent to be a monster guard, but his footwork and pass blocking are very lacking. He needs to step up or step down. AutoMax
I'm no armchair QB, but is there any reason we can't go to a few 4 WR sets once or twice in the game? We could really benefit from spreading the defense out from time to time.

Maybe he isn't doing it because he doesn't think any of those receivers are any good. I don't know. This thread wasn't aimed at Mularkey detractors because I am one of them. Fat Matt
uh he is the qb he was trying to make a play. we had been playing with 1 rb since the first half.Uh..he still didn't have to throw the ball in that situation. Once again people, I'm not bashing Ryan or putting Redman above him. I'm simply saying that Redman isn't terrible and Ryan didn't have to throw in that situation. I have a hard time believing that we can't get them out there a little more.
JeffGeorge
I dont think Ryan should be benched but this is a message board. We are expected to give our opinions. I dont agree with the trolling at all, but some people do have legit gripes. The season is on the brink right now. We lost to the Panties and the Wild Card is slipping away. What should we post about instead of evaluating the marquee position? Special Teams? Coy Wire? Todd McClure?

Rev_Hal
Except for maybe JaMarcus Russell You have to have at least 1 good game to technically be able to skip over the bad ones. Otherwise, it's like dividing by zero.
LVfalconfan
Ryan got the ball on the FOUR yard line in the fourth quarter of a tight game on the road, and led his team on a 5 minute , 11 play , 80 yard drive. That's big time QB play. Should have given his team the lead. This team isn't that far off from being road warriors. With The Burner, that 3 and 1 is a 1st down. With him, it's kind of a situation where the fewer times he threw it, the better he looked. Not so much this year, he is looking pretty bad just about every week. I was simply showing some of his good qualities in response to your bashing.
