falconsfreak27
Even that year we lost to Kansas City 63-3 I haven't been more dissapointed that I amright now. It was the freakin Carolina Panthers for crying out loud. The whole team lostthis one. Terrible....we're playing NCAA Division 2 football right now. If we don'tget it together now. We'll be singing "Wait...till next.....year!!!"Get well BURNER!!! Snelling and Turner should be holding their heads up high. The rest of the team blew it for them when they gave everything they had to win.Give Matt Ryan one more start to get it together. If not, bring in Redman. Though I don't think it will matter. We SUCK right now. We will bounce back....but how far?Hopefully we can pull off something on the Giants, but I doubt it.Right now I'm ready to break out the neck brace and arm sling. Our team is banged up.

Peyton
Not.......even........close.I remember being all excited about a 5-2 team in 06, only to watch them get beat back to back by the Lions and Browns.I remember the previous year, when a home loss to a really bad Packers team started a horrible second half tailspin.Or, if you want to talk really tragic, consider this one.In 1986, the Falcons were 6-6-1 heading into week 14 with a very realistic chances of making the playoffs at 9-6-1. Thier opponent in Atlanta was the 0-13 Colts. With only seconds left in the game and the Falcons winning 23-21, the Falcons let the Colts block a punt and return it for a TD.They lost to an 0-13 team at home and ended their playoff chances. Very disappointing.

falconsfreak27
Easy...I haven't jumped off the wagon. Never will. I'm just saying. You win when you should.I'm tired of getting my hopes up on having a team that makes very little mistakes, moves the ball at will and keeps the other teams offense on the bench. What happenedto all the points we put up on San Fran? What happened to that defense we saw against New Orleans?Even then it was terrible against the pass. Fan or not, I know what I see. I seesomething missing on both sides of the ball. We have the talent, coaches, staffto destroy people. Why can't we ever get it together? That's my question.I swear it's like we're cursed or something. I'm a realist folks. If Turneris out. We better hope Norwood gains about 25 pounds of musclein the next 6 days or we're screwed. Part of being a fan is believing in your team. We're still 5-4 and while we're making it harder to get to the playoffs, we're still very much in the hunt. People hit the panic button after a loss like its the end of the world.
coastiemike
It's a tie.... Losing the Super Bowl sucked, especially since my wife is a Broncos fan. Watching us lose in the NFC championship to Philadelphia sucked also. Both those were much worse than today's loss.
Falcon Freddie
It all comes down to definitions, but I submit the most disgraceful loss (as opposed to "worst") the Falcons ever suffered occurred in the 2005 season, on January 1, 2006 Panthers-Falcons game in the Georgia Dome. In this game, the entire Falcons team visibly gave up on their coach (Mora) and themselves and simply mailed it in. Michael Vick later admitted that he didn't care and didn't try in that game. The same could be said of many of the other Falcons players. The game was nothing less than embarrassing for all concerned.Overheard leaving the stadium after that game: "I've seen some suck-a__ games in this place [the Georgia Dome], but this one ranks right up there . . . or maybe right down there." In retrospect, that game foretold the mediocre 2006 season, the demise of Mora as the Falcons coach, and perhaps even the disasters of the 2007 season. By this criteria, yesterday's loss doesn't even come close to the 2005 season game. Yesterday's loss was disappointing, but disappointing was all it was. The Falcons lost because of mistakes, injuries, and players outside of their accustomed positions, but they didn't give up.

If it were just the game, no biggie, the Broncos were a little better. But Eugene Robinson humiliating the franchise and the city of Atlanta just made me sick. I felt totally and completely disgusted after that game.

RyanFalconMan
Here is something I want to know. This game reminded me of a the Falcons of 2006. All running, no passing, no defense, no special teams. Why is our team performing at that level? We have no one except McClure, Finn and maybe two other guys that are on this team now from the 06 season. Is this team ever going to get away from the reputation that they have had before? One of the things that really makes me sad is how Mularkey passes the ball when the run game is going and he runs the ball when the pass game is going. We were running all over the Panthers yesterday and he still decides to pass the ball on first downs. What a joke!

Peyton
If you think one was bad, you just wait til you play my Bucs! bucman, good to see you here, I've been worried about all of our Buccaneer friends after that loss yesterday. That call on that review was the worst call I have ever seen in my life. I am suprised that Morris didn't kill one of those refs.
