With turner going down today , don't know how long, and norwood ALWAYS hurt, should we pay him a league min. and hopefully get a great 2nd/3rd string rb. i know he has personal problems, but should we pick him up???Maybe with our good o line and blocking recievers and te he will flourish under mike smith. He would be like a late season cedric benson, you know like when he was with the bears and is now doing good.

H#ELL YEAH...You beat me to it!! We can't continue with a question mark in our running game, with Norwood being "week-to-week" and the uncertainty of Turner's injury.

I'm pretty sure Johnson is eager for a "fresh start" and I doubt he would be pretty cheap to acquire with the baggage he's carried around lately. If there's still a chance for us to make the playoffs, we need to sign him with the QUICKNESS!!!

You read my mind dude... It can't hurt to take a look can it? He'll come cheap and it can never hurt to have 2 good backs. I don't know about Norwood, he seems a little bit too injury prone to rely on. Don't get me wrong, when he's healthy he's a really good back, but that doesn't seem to be the case too often anymore. Johnson, in his prime was a top 5 back in this league (granted he's almost 30 and his best years were 4/5 years ago). I say give it a shot. We can't realistically rely on Turner to carry the ball 370 plus times for more than a couple of years...

If Turner is even going to be out a few weeks, yes we should take a look at him. I thought we should have looked at Chambers because of our WR problems. Also we do have Gonzo who was his teammate for years. If he has good things to say then we should get him. We need to try something.

Agreed...especially your comment regarding Chambers. Chambers had a pretty productive 1st game for KC, too.

Sometimes, I wonder why our front office isn't more aggressive at "pulling the trigger" when a chance to upgrade our personnel presents itself?????

ESPECIALLY, at this point in the season...You pretty much know your deficiencies by now. Afterall, they can ALWAYS cut a guy, if it's not working out!

LJ has sucked bad the past few years. He has been horribly unproductive.

Of course, that Chiefs o-line that was once one of the best got totally decimated in no time.

He'd be worth taking a chance on if we can determine that he's still got some stuff left in the tank and he buys into our team first atmosphere. He's had a ton of carries in his career and never ever shown that he's a team first kind of guy... so I'm not holding my breath.

If Turner is going to be out, I don't see why we don't bring Aaron Stecker back. Heck, I'd rather see Edgerrin James in a Falcons uni than Larry Johnson. Johnson brings way too much baggage for how little he has actually contributed since his 2006 season.

There's also Ahman Green and Rudi Johnson out there unsigned right now. Just sayin...

First, Green was signed by Green Bay. Second, sometimes it takes a change of team to bring the talent back out in a player. Just look at Benson with the Bengals.

Exactly. The Chiefs looked done. It would be hard to put 100 percent effort on that team if you already dislike the coach and organization (fans, etc) like he did.
