I've cooled down a little bit now....but still have to VENT.

miss gimme field goals.

continue to throw into 3 man coverage

not take a game from a team basically handing it to you....

and call yourself a PLAYOFF TEAM.

This game just hurts me all over. I'm a big Matt Ryan fan, but you have to honestly say that he's making terrible decisions with the ball and has lost a bit of toughness standing in the pocket. He looks way to uncomfortable now. Somebody please make me feel better about our chances going forward...

Chances of what? Making the playoffs? Well that would be slim at the moment. If we did kake the playoffs how far would we go? Would the team gel at the right time as did the Cardinals last year? Yet to be seen.

Ryan carried us back into this game in the second half.

Our D looked solid.

That missed FG was everything.

Elam was automatic. Now he is crap.

Turner was cutting them up with 12.3 yards per carry before going down. We would have killed them had he stayed healthy.

This was a tough loss because of all the coulda, woulda, shoulda's. We have a very good team, They're just very inconsistent.

+1

Matt did look good until the INT. Our D isn't horrendous and I have more confidence now. But something has to be done about our CB's. Grimes?!?! C'mon...

Probably the most rational thing I've read all day. Turner going down dictated so much.

I got nothin to make you feel better. The last interception was all on Matt...PERIOD! I swear if my TV did'nt cost me mucho $ I would have thrown something very destructive it's way!!! And guess what, I would have been pi$$ed about two things! This loss is absolutely inexcusable (sp)!! I am sick!! We have not turned any corners yet! I am 40 years old and have been watching this team since I can remember and I have taken the stance of show me, don't tell me with this organization. No matter what happens I can not quit being a huge Falcons fan...It's in my blood!!

I feel the same way as you....but some of these losses are gut-wrenching!!! Did anybody have confidence when Elam was lining up for that kick. You could just FEEL something bad was about to happen.

matt ryan gave us a chance to win. he never gave up after a poor first half. we need to do a better job of play calling. we shouldnt be running two te sets on passing downs and on play action passes we are sendning 2 wr into a 5 man zone coverage, which is why ryan is throwing into triple coverage. jenkins has to step up, he has really regressed as a wr and i believe that matt has lost faith in him. that pass wasnt that bad of pass, jenkins just jumped a little too soon.

we need playmakers and i believe we are really missing norwood right now. he has soo much speed and is a playmaker. defensives have to respect his speed, which opens up single coverage on the outside.

Plain and simple....they have got to cut the bootlegs. Ryan has never been great throwing on the run. Half of his passes were from the bootleg. In the 4th qurter, when he stood in the pocket, he did well. When he scrambled and threw it he threw that horrible INT. Stop moving around, stand in the **** pocket so you can see the field, and make the throws you are capable of.

I'll give it a shot.

Unless the eagles rally, every wildcard contender will be 5-4 or worse, we had a chance for some separation from the pack, we blew it.

Its one game, one game w/o Turner, Norwood, Baker and Douglas. And Jerry , Moore , and Williams.

Schedule eases up considerably after next week, even worst case scenario, we're 5-5 with a chance for a late season push.

edited for something else I thought of that might make you feel better:

This is just the way the NFL is,

Last week, GB lost to Tampa, this week , they beat Dallas.

I agree 100%. Matt has made terrible decisions time and time again the last 5 games. He continues to throw into double and triple coverage. I fine myself wondering when the next pick is coming. I really want to know what he is looking at.

I think Gonzalez has hurt his development. He seems to be forcing balls to him and determine to go to him even if he is not open. They dodged a bullet in the red-zone when Carolina didn't come up with a pick when Ryan was determine to go to a covered Gonzalez. I know he is our present and future at QB and there is still a way to go in what could be a playoff season. All that being said he may benefit from being benched.
