gjlaf
OK....with this loss how bad (honestly) are we looking for the rest of the season? Can we still make the playoffs, if so what kind of mountain is in front of us that we have to climb? Did we just lose any chance at the playoffs? how hard is it going to be to get a winning season (9-7)?I just got this feeling that this loss was bigger then it looks, I am starting to get that empty feeling in my stomach again....man we need to start winning games!!Someone please fill me in on the above questions because I am being serious... Russdogg
yeah it feels the playoffs are slipping from our hands... or should i say.. into the defenders hands

Lord Sarcomere
With the way Ryan has been playing, getting into the playoffs is going to be tough
MilleniumFalcon
Still in a position to make the wild card IF the Falcons turn things around and play well (especially Matt Ryan). However, the way they're playing now (especially Ryan) it's hard to envision this team making the playoffs.
Big Zee
I just want a winning record, that's all
falcons4life
Right now I am more worried about getting 9 wins.If we continue to play like this, we will not see the playoffs.Teams like Carolina and even Tampa improve each week. Heck, the Rams gave the Saints a scare today.Yet we are regressing. I dont get it.
FireDawg85
Winning season... Yes! Playoffs... Maybe
Norwood all the way!
there is still a lot of football to be played. things happen and it can turn around for Ryan and company. but there needs to be some changes made, whether it being preparation or personnel changes. i think its still a bit too early to say we wont be making the playoffs. gjlaf
OK, so the playoffs are a reach now but what about a winning season? To me that is a monkey I want off our teams back. I support our team and everybody on it but I still feel we are sinking into our old selves with losing games we should win......
rogueleadersf
Depends on Turner. It is still very possible to have a winning season, less possible to win a spot in the playoffs. We would HAVE to beat NY,PHILLY,NO,AND BOTH tAMPA GAMES. orpheous3000
this was a TOUGH division game.... i think we lost this game as a team... coach going for 2 early in 4th, ryan last int, defense gave up big run at end of game, but the biggest is elams missed field goal.... listen guys this is the worst stretch we have played this year.... we can turn it around... we are still thick in the wild card fight and **** we need to just regroup and play our game
BCEagleATLFalcon
Well, San Diego beating Philly and Dallas beating Green Bay would be helpful to keep us right in the the thick of things for THIS week. But if we keep playing like this, it won't matter. (I still have faith we can make the play-offs, but a whole lot has to change RIGHT NOW.) DemDirtyBirds4
With the way Ryan has been playing, getting into the playoffs is going to be tough It isnt going to help if Turner is going to miss some time. We also need a kicker that can hit a 34 yarder to take the lead.
MilleniumFalcon
What's the Falcons road record under Mike Smith? I'm thinking it's not good, need to fix things when we go on the road. We looked good against the 49ers but looked like the crap in the rest besides the Saints game... (all 4 losses in road games - Patriots, Saints, Cowboys, Panthers). The only game I didnt get then was I thought we would be Dallas. I had us splitting with the Saints and Panthers with the home teams winning and had us sweeping the Buccs. So I really shouldnt be surprised. Now the Giants game is a must win.
opensource01
I think it depends on how long Turner is out for. As long as he's out, there is going to be extra pressure placed on Matt Ryan to win, and he clearly can't do that right now. Hopefully he'll turn it around soon, but I'm not gonna hold my breath. If Turner is back soon, we have a chance. If he's not, then we're in serious trouble.

Pyarakamil
Tank the season.....we suck....we need better talent on the field....let's lose all the games and get a better pick next year....not to mention we don't even have a 2nd round pick right now..... Valley Falcon
Man, we just need to take every game one by one. we are not that great and each game is going to be a fight.
falconcj21
nothing can change right now no matter who wins this week we would still be in the playoffs. with that being said the playoff start next week against the giants
