UPDATED! The OFFICIAL "I'll Help Pay Coach Smith's Fine" Thread

227 posts in this topic

It's a nice gesture, but he's not going to need my money. The Falcons players will be fighting over who gets to pay that fine for coach Smith, and I think donations will be pouring in from around the league, along with congratulatory notes.

You beat me to it- the players would all contribute.

But , I'm in. Rev, you set it up and I'll put in some cash.

Lets also see if we can get some pub from the local fishwrapper to balance out the "censorship" crap from a couple of weeks ago.

Can we as fans bring our portion of the fine money to the league office in Manhattan all in pennies, just to be an a$$ about it....

Because of how the "fans" have been acting on these boards, I truly believe that everyone believes that Matt Ryan should pay the fine because he's the one that...

ran out of bounds

received the late (intentional) hit

brushed it off and ran back to the huddle ALONG SIDE LANDRY

End world hunger? Nope.

Stop the growth of poverty? Never.

Build an orphanage in South Africa? Not today.

Support the Product Red or One campaign? Don't even think of it.

Tithe to a church? Not to those money grubbers.

Support a rich man and pay his fine if he gets one? Sure, why not?

I'm in as well. To make this worth while, this has to get media attention and has to be more than like $200 bucks. We need to raise over $1,000 to be significant. If nothing else it can goto a Charity or something.

Here is an idea.....

Smith or the organization will not accept the money.

So....set up a paypal account and have the money go to Smith's favorite Charity if/once the team declines to accept our contribution to his fine.

A nice donation to Mikes Charity from the fans at AFMB would be a nice gesture.

Im in for $25

edit: I see poutlipper already made the suggestion of a charity.

I give to 20 different charities every month. One thing does not take the place of another.
