Radiohead
Matt Ryan is a ******** winner. I am sick of all this negative ******** being written and said about him. If Jenkins had not dropped that 3rd and short inside the 10 in the 3rd quarter to take the lead (a catch I easily could have made), which I still argue his spot at #2 should be up for grabs... And if Vilma hadnt tipped that TD pass to #88 then Ryan would have been victorious with a higher Comp. % and 2-3 TD's with 1 Int. I must say Ryan will be a future Hall of Famer, but unfortunately, as we are painfully starting to recognize... we have some positions that need help to support him at WR and RB. 1. We need a consistent RB who can not only run up the middle and share carries with Turner, but also catch the ball out of the backfield. Snelling and Stecker have shown promise, but we need a Johnathan Stewart type.2. We need a true #2 WR, I just dont have any confidence in Jenkins anymore. He has been dropping passes all over the field all season. Simply unacceptable. You cannot get paid $100,000/game and drop passes. Jenkins, you have to earn your right to play in the NFL and you simply are not3. Give Eric Weems a real shot at WR. He may make some mistakes, but the kid is a playmaker and has really awing speed and you can tell his mind is 100% in the game. He is just so happy to be out there.4. What is wrong with LT Sam Baker? He has had good games, but there is hardly any consistency over these past few games. I know hes been going up against some tough D-Lines, but thats why you were a 2nd rounder bud. DE Will Smith just made you look like a ***** on MNF, now can you man up and please protect Matt Ryan? Please?5. DeCoud and Lofton: the REAL DEAL. I cannot even tell you how excited I am to see these young playmakers. They are all over the field every game. I still cannot get over DeCoud's hit on Brees. I'd be willing to bet Brees' neck is still hurting. These guys are on their way to becoming the much-needed backbone of a ball-hawking intense, smart, and fast defense that when the CB situation gets figured out will be much like the Ravens' of early 2000's.Needless to say I am very excited, but let's patch up some holes on that Offensive side, and fast. ConnFalcon
Overall, I think people just seem to forget that he is very young, and has only been in this league a year and a half. He has done more than just win football games for this franchise. He gave us hope, and became a positive face of this franchise. There is no point in trying to apply logic to a troll. They just want to get under your skin. But for a rational Atlanta Falcons fan, or for a general football fan for that matter should understand this. AutoMax
It is beginning to become evident that we need some help at the WR position.
Old fan
There are fewer holes to fill than there were last year (Discounting injuries,) and there will be still fewer holes next year. The biggest problem with Ryan is that he has a season and a half experience in a position that demands experience to be successful. That fact is totally unacceptable to some folks. It might be reasonable to give any promising, young player three years before drawing a conclusion. If he breaks out in two, great. In one, even better.
Radiohead
Thank you... The kid is 24. If we had a compliment WR to Roddy White, his numbers would be completely different, but we dont and Defenses know it. We needed Harry Douglas more than anyone else this season. So, jekins drops one third down cacth and hes a bum now? Turner rushed for 150 in the saints game and hes a bum too? Ryan has thrown 2 or more picks in the last three games. Come on man. Imma season ticket holder. I love the Falcons. But i believe its not wrong to show concern in terms of Matt Ryan.

dipper
When a team wins, the QB gets all the glory. He is the man of the hour, he is numero UNO. The QB gets all the media attention, he gets the commercials he gets the KING treatment. But when RYAN looses a game, the finger pointing starts at everyone else except the QB. So when the team looses a game the QB is to blame, it comes with the territory. So just deal with it, it has happen to every QB in the leauge. HE IS NO DIFFERENT... IF HE WAN'TS TO BE A POCKET PASSER, STAND IN THE POCKET, THROW THE BALL, AND TAKE THE HIT...

And averaged over 20 per year during his first 4 NFL seasons. Those were Peyton Manning's stats and he's doing ok now. Just sayin'.

RazorTalon
The Harry Douglas injury hurt us as well, its gonna be crazy next year. But we have to do with what we have, which is a group of talented players. Yes Jenks dropped a big one, but he has made huge catch after huge catch for us. Chill out, Matt Ryan is a gem, et him mature and learn from his mistakes.
falconsfreak27
wait and see, matty ice will be in top form this week. Weems will get more involved, and Turner has another 100+ yard game. Don't believe the haters, they'll get it together.
cyofish
1. Agree2. Jenkins biggest problem is looking up to run before catching the ball. Especially on 3rd down, he should be more concerned with making the 1st down the YAC. 3. Never, fails - the guy on the bench is always better than the starters. That's not the case. There's a reason why Weems is the 5th receiver on the depth chart. You can't just go by the blown coverage TD he had against the Cowboys. 4. Baker will get better.5. Agree

Snelling has been that Jonathan Stewart type. When he has been given the chance he has shown he can carry the load2. Off the Jenkins bandwagon already? Yes he has 4 drops and there aren't any excuses for that, but I'm ready to give up on him yet. At least our WR corps isn't as bad as most other teams.3. I agree, lets seem Weems a little bit more4. I think it's Sam's ankle. He was on the injury report for it at least.5. YES I agree
