GetUSom3
Would like to see the total number of passes and drops to JenkDropkins. Is the list current? He dropped a short 4 yard pass on a CRITICAL 3rd down conversion Monday night.
Peyton
For the limited amount of times he's had the ball thrown to him, the number of drops is waaay too high. The bigger problem is the guy is simply incapable of beating man coverage, unless DLO is covering him. texasbirdfan
Obviously there is more to "drops" than meets the eye. Mason ranked 5th is one of the most reliable WR's the last decade and is considered spectacular in his catching abilities even when injured. You can see his targets to receptions is different from the others on the list.Jenkins may have similar issues as to special circumstances... TdotFalcon
Jenkins targets 40, 22 receptions for 290 yards.he is pretty much a 3rd reciever after white and gonzo so in my opinion he should do better at 6'4" in man coverage
phattywankenobi
Jenkins and White both have 4 drops. The problem is Jenkins has been targeted less often and it seems like everyone of his were either a critical 3rd down or a pick six. Not sure how the interceptions are calculated even though it hit him in the hands just like in the past.
cyofish
He has 4, seen it in the Jenkins poll... and that is about right. I actually thought it was only 3.OK, but they were drops at critical point which is what magnifies it. Had he made a couple of them, it may have changed the outcome of the game. 2 3rd down conversions. One of them in the redzone.1 tipped for an interception in the redzone (5 yd line). UnrealfalcoN
drops aren't the biggest problem with jenkins, the man must get open more often
atljbo
I feel like drops will happen.... But when you drop the ball is HUGE (the situation).... Jenkins drop balls at the wrong moments.... Drive killer drops are HUGE.Another thing...Like Jon Gruden said.... Roddy White and Tony G will draw the coverage their way.... We need a #2 WR that will kill teams for not respecting him (playing him one on one) .... I honestly feel like Harry Douglas would be playing allot of #2 WR if he was not injured. Rev_Hal
seems everyone that keeps getting so upset might have to admit they're wrongIs he the worst receiver in the league? No. Has he been inconsistant this season? Yes.
Big Zee
He's been very inconsistent and it seems his drops are always on 3rd downs so they stand out more. Can the problem be corrected? Absolutely. Jenkins should stay after every practice and catch 300 balls from the jugs machine... that should help. Also, him getting more separation from DB's wouldn't be a bad solution either. ATL Fan in the DMV
HD would be starting NOW if he were not injured and Coach Smith ratcheted up his benching skills. I guess we will have to wait til 2010 to see if 1) Harry is back to 100% and 2) If he can beat out Jenkins for #2. Then again, Smith may believe Jenkins will turn it around. I say, Jenkins' production as a #2 WR blows...if Harry is healthy in 2010, I firmly believe he can eclipse the average-at-best numbers Jenkins will put up.
