falconreal
When he decided, with 1:20 remaining in the 1st half and the crowd in a frenzy, to try and throw the ball downfield instead of going to the locker room down by 7. A stupid call, leading to an interception that turned out to be the game-breaker. Way to go, Mike! Sometimes you have to take your licks, go to halftime, and regroup. Come on man...if you actually believe the stuff you are writing then you have no business following football. In a hostile environment, against a team that is a division rival, having faith in your team...you go for the throat. Props to Mike Smith for showing the Saints that he won't be intimidated or bullied.

You can't fault Mike for that. That was all on Matt. The coaches did a great job with the play calling on both sides. The players just didn't execute. I don't mind this kind of losses (even though I don't like losing) as long as the team came out to fight and not play scared.
=abrahamburger=
You can't blame just one player (or coach for that matter) on this loss.Being a division rival, ask Sean Peyton if he would have pushed down the field in the same situation. ukfalc
I'd rather be aggressive when we have the ball, than too conservative.
red falcon
So I guess Jenkins dropping passes, and Elam missing FG doesn' really matter......
Peyton
The bigger problem was that the Falcons had not taken a shot down the field up to that point, so the Saints had no fear about biting on the hooks. Blame Mularkey. A pick 6 was an absolute certainty last night with the Falcons failure to make them respect the deep ball.
