maxatlanta
Philly, NYG, and Dallas all have at least 6 tough games left on their schedule. They play a combination of each other, us, SD, GB, NO, and CHI. We have 4 tough games left on our schedule. This is because other than Carolina, we haven't had a cupcake yet.Unfortunately we have a short week to prepare for a Washington team coming off their bye this week. But all in all we have weathered a very tough opening slate and are still in position to make it to the post season again.I would even say that, considering our run game was not functioning and our kicker has missed 4 FG (is that right?), we have done well to be 4-3 at this point. There is reason for optimism right now. If you feel differently then I hope you will remember that we have had it as tough as anyone to start this season. Our three losses are to opponents with a combined record of 17-4, and all in their house. We are obviously not peaking early. But come post season we will be that WC team that no one wants to play. Just winning the games we are supposed to would mean at least 9 wins(WAS, CAR, TB, BUF, TB). That with four other games left that we are capable of winning. Don't buy into what the idiots who change their tune depending on each week's outcome are saying. We are a contender. We can hang with anyone, including NO in their own house. FalconMama
Here's the current standings in the playoff race.1. New Orleans Saints 7-0 1st rd BYE2. Minnesota Vikings 7-1 1st rd BYE3. Philadelphia Eagles 5-2 Division leader4. Arizona Cardinals 4-3 Division LeaderCurrent wildcard teams5. Dallas Cowboys 5-26. New York Giants 5-3Teams that are on the outside looking in for now7. Atlanta Falcons 4-38. Green Bay Packers 4-39. Chicago Bears 4-310. San Francisco 49ers 3-411. Carolina Panthers 3-412. Washington Redskins 2-5Obviously we root against the Cowboys seeing as they have the head to head over us. The Giants need to drop more games too and the matchup against them in NY will be huge. Can't let the Panthers back in this thing either. November and December will be very interesting in the NFC. I see the same thing happening to the NFC that happened in the AFC last year.. There were so many good teams that 1 ended up staying home and that was the Patriots.Falcons, Cowboys, Giants... One of those teams will be home this year with a 11-5 or 10-6 record. In fact, since we play them in our house, they are the one we are most likely to hold a H2H tie break over. They're sched- NYG, DAL, @SD, @CHI, WAS, @ATL, @NYG, SF, DEN, @DAL. That is tough, 1 easy game and that's it for them. Also, they've already had their bye. My personal feeling is that DAL falls apart due to poor coaching, but anyway you slice it those NFC east teams have a lot of games left vs each other and that is good for us.
