nativefalcon
Is Ovie being out causing Turner this many problems? I mean I know Ovie is better FB then the others but, Turner has been just off period?
Thomas Johnson
Turner just doesn't care. If he gets a hole a truck can drive through then he'll take it. If not, he's trying to prolong his career.
ATL Fan in the DMV
No, Ovie was starting at the beginning of the season when Turner wasn't playing well. Does Mughelli make a difference? Yes. Is it THAT big of a difference? No. Turner is just not the same as last year for some reason.

Durrty
Our OL didn't do a great job of opening up run lanes and pass protecting yesterday. Snelling broke a few, but he has the ability to do so...Turner is a north/south runner...he doesn't have that quick of a cut to bounce to the outside and run for the big gain. Ovie is vital to our run game because he's one of our best blockers, but the main reason is the OL didn't play well...if teams are stacking the box, the coaches need to pick a side and have the OL open up a lane. theDIRTYcode
Times like this is when you need a more versatile back. When you can't run and teams are bringing 6 or more...let'em come free through the lines and throw the RB screen. The freaking Eagles make a living off this. The problem is you can't bring in Norwood every time to run it. That just tells the defense what your gonna do.
Dharma Initiative
Turner wasn't getting anything when Ovie was in there. He hasn't been out all season.
FalconFan13
To me the losses of our 2 best run blocking guys is the biggest problem. When you lose a elite Run Blocking TE in Hartsock and your best Vet Run Blocking o-lineman retires in Wiener then your gonna take a huge hit. Wiener was the most ran at lineman we had last year and they went for some of the biggest gains usually. Just hard to replace 2 losses like that in 1 season.
