We are 4-2 remember?

Every loss follows a hate train on these forums about who did what wrong, who we need to sign and who we need to sit.

Take it easy everyone. Anyone who knows sports, knows that at the end of every game there is a winner and a loser. So we came up short in Dallas and in New England. BIG DEAL. We are 4-2 and remain under the radar from the media. We have 10 games remaining and the team needs to focus on THAT, not who we should pick up from free agency or blaming others.

I have been a fan of the falcons since their 98 playoff run, and have stuck with them through some bad times. I respect those who come to this forum and speak kindly about the falcons and have something worth saying. I respect my elders and those who have been falcons fans and moreover football fans longer then me, even the bandwagon jumpers I enjoy as long as they have something intelligent to say.

But TATF has been ridiculous after both our losses. I want to cut it out of my schedule quicker then our O-line cut dallas.

We all agree this is a good team, we all agree that we have great coaches, we all agree that we have weaknesses; every team does. So Dallas had an extra week to prepare for us and find our weaknesses, good; we better get used to it as 2 more teams we face will have a bye week before we play them.

I am 100% confident in Mike Smith for coming up with a game plan that our team will be able to execute.

So please stop the hating and lets start seeing some thread about New Orleans

Creating a thread telling people to stop hating will not stop people from hating....

With that said, I'm over the loss. I just hope Smitty and Co come up with a differnt game plan than this week. And MM better stop with this vanilla appoach. We will NOT beat NO by scoring 14 pts..

In 2005 we started out 7-2 and ended up being 8-8. In 2006 we started out 6-2 and ended up 7-9. We have not shown anything this year where a 4-2 team will not end up being 8-8. We can't beat good teams on the road - ****, we barely beat Chicago at home. Top notch teams like the Patriots beat good teams and absolutely embarrass the bad ones.

What you've seen on this board after this seasons two losses is about the norm around here. I really don't know what it is. I tend the think it's the band wagoners more than anything. Plus, crazy as it is, there are people here who are still fans of our former QB and will take any opportunity to take shots at Ryan.

I'm one of those guys who has been around a bit longer than you, since 1968 in fact. Like my screen name says I have pretty much followed this franchise non stop since I was six years old.

Believe me, I went through many a year when the season was already over for us by now and I would have killed for us to be 4-2 at this point in the season.

This team will be fine, they are nothing like the teams of the past. You can take my word for that. They will learn from this and move on. There is no need for the panic.

I think alot of it is passion, and alot of it is just trolls trying to get under peoples skin. We have alot of passionate posters on here that just like to vent when things go bad. Sometimes it gets a little excessive, but its understandable. As far as the threads go for calling smiths head, and BVG and Matt Ryan suck; I just tend to ignore those.

I think being 2 games behind the division leader is where a lot of the concern comes in and a road loss next week puts them 3 games behind.

Being 4-2 wouldn't be as big a deal if the Saints were 2-4.

I believe that last season has gotten people in a little over their heads with expectations this year.

I mean, it's only the second year of a new coaching staff and a new GM and some people on this board expect nothing less than a Super Bowl victory.

That's just a little far fetched IMO. I would genuinely be happy to see the team break the back to back winning seasons deal and I think they will. Would I like to see more? Of course, but I did not go into this season expecting a Super Bowl and I can't believe any knowledgeable fan who looks in their heart of hearts would rationally believe that it's possible either.
