Man, they are reaching for the stars with that stupid reason.

How lame can you get?

Ah, it's just a worthless opinion from a couple of "Da Bear" homers. Probably the same idiots that show up at the game wearing the Blues Brothers outfits...except in 2009 (25 yrs later) they look more like a bunch of overweight Geeksquad dudes.

I doubt if Ryan will think twice about it being a nationally televised game. It will probably feel like any other game...playing at home in front of 60K fans in the dome.

To be fair, the only person saying that is the OP. Pretty much everyone else is shooting him down. I'm sure you guys have your fair share of homers that make the rest of you look bad over here as well?

It's not the guy's "homerism" that's the issue. It's his utterly RIDICULOUS logic of why he thinks the Bears will win!

I mean, come on. Matt Ryan and the Falcons offense just returned from ripping to shreds what the media was building up to be one of the "greatest NFL defenses of all time" and he's supposed to be phased by the fact that the game will be in prime time and on national TV? That he'll be affected by the pressure of being on the national stage - in front of his HOME CROWD?

Hey, I want the Falcons to win this one as badly as any other fan, but gimme a freakin' break! <_<

I actually agree with you. My point is, it isn't fair to characterize an entire fan base because of one person talking this nonsense. While I certainly think we are gonna give you guys a run for your money, this isn't even on the radar of why I think that. In fact, I'd say the opposite. The Bears are usually bad on prime time for whatever reason.

"We will roll in this game. This will be Ryan's first ever game played in Primetime. More nerves, more pressure. How many times before the game do you think the thought "all of america is watching" will cross his mind? The nerves and pressure on him will be as high or greater then they were in his playoff game last year.

In that game, he had 2 picks, 1 funmble, gave up a safety and was sacked 3 times. Not exactly gonna be ice-man this early in his carrer. This game will be a learning experience for Ryan.

I for one, am glad we are playing Atlanta on this stage becuase I think the atmosphere favors us. Heck, this is already our second primetime game of the young season. This is the first one of Ryans career."

This post is without a doubt "HOF" material. As in Hall Of Fools. <_<

I hope you are right!!!!

OK, I'm going to be the bad guy here - very unusual for me.

I usually like the Bear fans. There are some that are arrogant and a pain - but hey - every team has that. But, they are true football fans and they live and love their Bears. I respect that.

They have a lot to be excited about this year with Cutler added to the mix - so I can understand that as well.

However, some are definitely misguided about Ryan. When he's in the Dome especially - he just shines. I think this will be a great game and I think our offense will do a great job.

I did notice where one Falcon fan said the only way to keep the offense from scoring was to keep them off the field - and the comeback was - Was that what New England did.

Why didn't they answer - yes - because they did. We had the ball 20 minutes to their 40 minutes. I think that constitutes keeping them off the field. Also, it would have been 17 if they hadn't called the Offensive PI on Jenkins.

Um, he's played in several primetime games at a little place called Boston College.

Boston is a city in the state of Massachusetts .

Trust me. It's unbearable sometimes. Many of the posters over on our board are completely ridiculous. They define knee jerk.

I know what you mean. We have this butt muncher named Rev who thinks he knows everything and bans everyone because he is drunk with power.....

Wait, that's me....

Nevermind.

i usually thought the bears fans were well informed on the teams they play especially since the nfc north went winless against the nfc south last year. man i hope our fans come out hyped for this game. i would really love to see our run game dominate and win this one for us.

Actually most of the bears fans that I have encountered are very complimentary of Ryan and a few agree that Ryan has a higher ceiling than Cutler.
