Are we still the same god-awful, overrated 7-9, 8-8 team so many of predicated after last week? Are we still going to fire Van Gorder? And Mularkey? Is White just mailing it in because he got his hold out money? Is Mike Peterson still washed up? Is Michael Turner still slow (slower maybe), not powerful, and a scrub running back? Is the offensive line showing their true colors as one hit wonders? Is the D-line incapable of getting to the quarterback? And if the secondary completely inept in terms of coverage? Is Matt Ryan still not ready to be the next level quarterback we think he is? Is Mike Smith an overrated coach from last year who couldn't coach us up to beat New England, and doesn't deserve to be on the same field as Belichick?

Or after our 35 point demolition of the 49ers, are the Falcons going to be 13-3 and represent the NFC in the Superbowl? Are Mularkey and Van Gorder the best coordinators in the league? Is White back completely to his old self and going catch 100 balls for 1600 yards and 15 tds? Is Mike Peterson the best acquisition of the year and flying all over the field (what everyone was saying pre-Patriots game)? Is the D-line awesome again, with Kroy Biermann being the greatest thing since sliced breat? Is Matt Ryan WAYYYY better than Flacco since he couldnt beat the Bengals? And is Mike Smith the ******* man now?

The answer somewhere in between. Fans need to calm the **** out about one game. We're not gonna go 6-10 because of the Pats game, or 14-2 because of this game. Matt Ryan is going to be awesome, White and Turner will be good, the O-line will be solid as well, our coordinators will get the job done, Mike Smith is one of the best coaches in the league, our run D is really good with Mike Peterson and Lofton flying everywhere, while our pass defense will be right at or right below average. Don't let one game make you go crazy either way. We're not gonna play our perfect game every week, understand that.

That said, Go FALCONS!

Football fans, so **** fickle.

I don't think this changes anything. The organization is past the old days of making excuses for every game. We EXPECT to win, or at least be in each game now. Nothing less than winning can now be deemed acceptable. I think this proves that the Falcons bounced back from a loss that really, we shouldn't have. We played hard, on offense and defense. The ball was spread around, the defense came to play. Coach Smith will always have the team ready. I think that the Falcons destiny is in their hands. THey can win it all, or break our hearts and lose them all from here on out. That is the mark of a team on the rise. We are now seen as a threat and as a team to fear in the league.

And what should send a chill down the spines of every team in the league is that we are really still building this beast. This defense will not be the same next year. This offense will be a year more mature. We will truly be frightening indeed come next season. So if we are able to win now, think about what we will bring to the table next year. I'd be afraid if I coached another team. THis isn't the "Falcons of Old". That franchise is dead. This new franchise is rising from the burned out wreck that it once was. Be ready NFL, we are coming.
