falcon82
Turner has been fumble prone and our D has been below average to say the least. If our offense doesn't play to their potential and allows the 49ers D to manhandle us we lose.Pretty much agree ... I think our OLine has to step up and play nasty again, or we're going to lose the game.
ebonymonk
San Fransisco makes me nervous because of their ability to get turnovers. A bad move would to be arrogant and think that Coffee wouldn't be able to have a decent game running and catching the ball against our D and Vernon Davis is playing well and i would give him the advantage over our LBs. We need to get up there and jump on them early to take the crowd out of the game and make them one dimensional. The funny thing is, the 49er's are starting to get confidence and that goes a long way toward being successful, see our team last year. FalconMama
I don't think Turner will have a good day on the ground against the 9ers. So lets hope Mularkey puts together a good gameplan and let Matt air it out a bit. This will be a tough game.

As for the fans, it doesn't really matter, we don't have any effect on the game.

As for the fans, it doesn't really matter, we don't have any effect on the game.I agree, Smith won't let the defense be arrogant about the run defense because they aren't good enough to be arrogant in that category. I think they'll be ready to play, but that doesn't mean they can't be outplayed at the point of attack or up the seam with a TE. If we don't run the ball better and take care of the ball, we will probably lose. That's why a fast start and aggressiveness on the road is important IMO. May not be Frank Gore, but he could put a hurtin' on this Falcons D, if it stays as-is.

Dem Birds
Singletary has really done a great job..Haven't they only lost like 2 games since Singletary took over? The man can motivate. He was who I wanted, I love Mike Smith but I'd never heard of him before we hired him.
sdogg
Pure ignorance.... when will you guys learn not to take the score of a game like an indicator? you would need to watch the game, the 49ers had two defensive touchdowns (very stupid things that we would never do) and an special teams touchdown (an even bigger stupid mistake totally ridiculous) and yet the rams were in the game until the end of the 3rd quarter, they went to halftime 7-0 just because of that special teams touchdown, they just scored 2 offensive touchdowns against a pretty bad rams defense, so the offense was not a factor in this game, they would have probably ended with the same score with a healthy gorethe 49ers ARE a very good team right now, but it is a fact that without gore they are not a real threat, that is their basis, to run the football, which they will not be able to do, and stop the run but our passing attack could kill them....for us just stop the run and let hill try to beat us trough the air.... he wont be able to do itThey beat the scrub Rams, Seahawks, Cardinals and lost to the Vikes. The Cards held them to 31 rushing yards. if not for Gores two big runs against the Seahawks, the 49ers would be near last in rushing yards. Lets wait til the 49ers play some good teams. Their schedule gets tougher, for the next several games. Edited October 5, 2009 by sdogg
dyoshot
I started San Fran defense today too. They came up big for me.I started Glen Coffee. He let me down yesterday.
markdzul
I started San Fran defense today too. They came up big for me.oh yeah, they smoked the rams. like every one else said. the rams are the worst team in football.... BY FAR..I completly agree it will be one **** of a game even with gore out. we will have to turn them over to win the game and Hill has been doing a great job of taking care of the football. But in the end it comes down to the results on the field. four quarters of football. may the best team win....
Andre5000
Actually looking at the box score, the 49ers defense scored 3 Touchdowns (2 fumble recoveries and a INT return for 3 TD's)... my fantasy team got 50 points from them today (lol). So the 49ers offense just scored 2 offensive TD's.They obviously have a great defense, and your saying they arent the same team without Gore? WTF? Andre5000
the 49ers ARE a very good team right now, but it is a fact that without gore they are not a real threatI hope your kidding with this statement..
itsslomotionbaby
Patrick Willis owned the Rams ... 5 tackles, 3 assists, 2.5 sacks and a "pick-6" ... this guy is scary good. The offense doesn't scare me at all, but their defense really knows how to get turnovers ... and our ball security hasn't been the best this season.YEA, get your popcorn ready then sit back and scratch your head as to why we did not ignore that #8 pick in jamal andersen and pick up patrick willis when our defense was screeming for a head hunter in the middle of our defense at middle linebacker an safety. luckyhole
I think we will win this game. But the fact is our defense has been awful. So we're capable of letting any team beat us. But I don't see the 49ers being that team. Not after a week of preparation.
McMVP
Singletary is def. the man but I believe the 49rs are overachieving atm.Is there such a thing?Perhaps Singletary just knows how to bring out their best.

They have beaten 3 of the 4 teams they have played and should be 4-0. Its gonna be tough.. Falcons need a win to stay with the Saints.. Andre5000
Is there such a thing?Perhaps Singletary just knows how to bring out their best. Like Parcells says.. "You are what your record says you are" and they are 3-1... Singletary is doing a great job motivating this team... With that defense, if they can get a franchise type QB, i could see them being a SuperBowl contender.. They should make a play for McNabb next year.
