kennycaine
Its a simple question that asks a valid question: Which quarterback will basically win a Super Bowl first, considering that either can or will. This is not a question of fan loyalty or which quarterback is more talented but rather a forum for pure, honest answers. Is Matt Ryan in a more Super Bowl-ready situation than Joe Flacco or is Flacco plus the Raven defense a receipe for a championship? Can the combination of Ryan/Turner/White/Gonzales overcome the slightly below average Falcon defense and propel the team to the Lombardi trophy? Michael Turnover
The Ravens are a better team on both sides of the ball. The falcon offense and defense are both average.

Michael Turnover
Let's without looking name Flacco's receivers and Tight End. That's what I thought. Yet that offense manages to put up some big numbers. It's all about the play calling.
East ATL a.k.a TROLL
Flacco. They have a better Defense. Ryan is a better QB though.

kennycaine
Flacco. They have a better Defense. Ryan is a better QB though.I agree that Ryan is better but the statistics say that they are about even; in fact Flacco is 5th and Ryan is 6th in passer rating, being separated by .4 of a percentage point. hakim24
I don't think anybody can say that we are a legitimate Super Bowl contender yet. Flacco has a much better defense that he can actually rely on to get the job done. Their offense is one of the best in the league so you have to go with Flacco. Best overall QB is Ryan. Yet that offense manages to put up some big numbers. It's all about the play calling. Are you serious? Todd Heap is a very good TE, and I wouldn't call Derek Mason and Mark Clayton bad WRs. We have better offensive players, but that doesn't mean their offensive players are horrible. And they have one of the best defenses in the league, it's a little easier to put up big numbers when your defense keeps your offense on the field longer. DUB
Joe Cool....and if Matty Ice was running that team the same could be said.....and if Kurt Warner was running that team the same could be said....and so on and so on.

Falcons Ace
Let's without looking name Flacco's receivers and Tight End. That's what I thought. Yet that offense manages to put up some big numbers. It's all about the play calling.Todd Heap at TE, and Mark Clayton and Derrick Mason at WRs. Hardly what I would call bad players. Mason is an above average WR, Heap is a top tier TE, and Clayton is a solid up and coming #2. No, I didn't need to research that at all. Now quick, name the top defenses the Ravens have played this year, or teams for that matter. Don't bother, I can and will...Chargers, Browns, Chiefs. Wow, how about those Ravens. Who's the better all around team? The Ravens because they have a better defense, except the defense hasn't been performing very well as of late, so it's subject to change. Ryan is better than Flacco and our offense is better than their offense. The question is pointless and it's pure flame baiting.
kenk
I still like Flacco more than Ryan. Ryan has been great but I think that Flacco is more accurate long passer and has stronger arm. In the past Ryan has underthrown to many deep passes. It seems all of Ryans passes now are the 5 to 15 yard range.

It's all about the play calling.Derrick Mason, Todd Heap, Willis Mcgahee (I know you didn't ask for RBs, but they are part of the offense and he has good ones.), Laron McClain, I think they have Mark Clayton now (I called him Michael until I saw Ace's post), that stupid TE we almost signed who's name I can't remember from the Eagles. ...like you said, I'm not looking up anyone's name. Oh and Ray Rice from Rutgers. Oh yeah, and look at his offensive line. Rookie Michael Oher has been a beast from what I've heard.Just because you are ignorant about other teams, doesn't mean everyone is.

Return-of-the-Falcon
they have a beastly offensive line, and can run the ball on almost anyone, so the run game actually shows up each week

Falcons Ace
<<<<Dumb ars!! accurate deep passing is part of the game not all but part..In most games you'll only see 3-5 passes attempted beyond twenty yards. I'd rather have a quarterback that is money from 20 and less who is extremely accurate and can effectively read a defense.
DerrtyBirdGirl
Ravens...Which shows how important it is to have a above average defense.
Dem Birds
<<<<Dumb ars!! accurate deep passing is part of the game not all but part..Not enough to call one QB better than another. How about Matt Ryan's ability to run the no huddle, or know the entire playbook, or his leadership ability, or his decision making (granted, Flacco's gotten a lot better) or his accuracy. I've seen Matt Ryan throw the perfect deep pass, but that's not what our offense does. We take what the defense gives us, you don't force deep passes when you have Gonzalez, or a reliable underneath route. We all know he can throw a bomb.
