vagus_x
49ers' Gore to miss 3 weeks with ankle strainThe Associated PressThe 49ers said Monday night that the strain was revealed during an MRI.Gore injured the ankle on his only carry during Sunday's 27-24 loss to the Minnesota Vikings. He left the game after a four-yard gain and did not return.Gore was taken to the locker room on a cart but X-rays revealed no broken bones. The team says it is not related to the ankle sprain he sustained during his 207-yard rushing performance against the Seattle Seahawks on Sept. 20.The 49ers also said tackle Joe Staley is day to day with a bruised right thigh and safety Reggie Smith has a strained right groin that will be re-evaluated in two weeks. Ice74
they seemed to play ok without him, considering he only carried the ball 1 time, granted, it makes it a tad easier, but good teams dont use excuses, man i wish we had Jerry and Douglas back, we'd be 3-

ltstorm2
Knowing our coaching staff, I hope they do plan on stopping whoever they have back there running the ball. I don't give a durn if we're playing New Orleans. YOU haveeeeeeeeeeeeee to stop any type of run game a team has first. So our boys need to watch film and practice just like Gore was going to play. Let's not get outcoached again thinking they'll want to throw it since Gore can't go.Accuweather.com says the weather in San Fran will be mostly sunny high around 76 so weather hopefully won't sway our coaches into thinking a certain way about the weather.
