WoTFan
We obviously aren't getting any push from our line and people are stacking the box on first down. Why don't we do what the Colts do? Ryan has done really well whenever Mularkey has let him throw the ball, so I don't know why we aren't throwing it more on first down. I know the pass was a first down result, just can't remember the yards.

We don't have Harrington, we can stop dinking and dunking for crying out loud.

Look at the play by play.9 passes, 10 rushes for 37 yards, or a 3.7 ypc on first down. You'd like that avg to be a little higher, but if you could tell Coach Smith he could have 2nd and 6 on every series he'd take that in a heartbeat. Kayoh
We should be averaging 5 yards per play on first down, regardless of whether we throw it or pass it. If that means throwing it or running it, I don't care, just do what you need to do to put us in no more than 2nd and 5.
Norwood all the way!
ide like to throw the ball more as well. in the beginning, teams are already set to stop Turner. we know this is what everyone will be doing. so why not start out the game throwing the ball? basically, take what the defense gives us. we have a good offense to where we can throw or run the ball. defenses cant defend both at the same time effectively. A.F.W.O.
Dink'n and dunk'n Yeah right! I just mentioned the first play of the game mind you and I would take a completion on the first pass play then a deep incomplete pass any day just to boost the confedence level and knock out the jitters. I've heard that so many times from the experts (ex-coaches calling the games) over the years that it should be common knowladge by now  But what ever
SiViK_OuTkAsT™
We cannot have Ryan, White, Jenkins, and Gonzo and not go deep more than once a game. That is like having a Ferrari and never ever going over the speed limit. What is the point?
