Ditka's "Come On Man" was to the Ref's on the Jenkins PI!

we need robot referees. I have never hated officials more until Sunday, how much biased and horrible play calling can they do?! Moss was being a prick, didn't even get called for that block in the back, neither did he get called for pushing off. Totally joke and the NFL should be fined for this.

Then you would just have Bellichek hiring a bunch of hackers who could reprogram those robots to still favor the refs. Would probably save them some $$$ though since they could take the refs off the payroll. Computer geeks would be much cheaper. Year supply of jolt cola and a lifetime paid subscription to World of Warcraft & they'll do anything you want.

All part of the experience of playing the Pat's/Steelers, folks. I would have been shocked if the game would have been called fair. The ball spots were driving me nuts-zebra's were giving them a full YARD on some of those spots...

And here I was thinking the computerized yard-to-make lines were off.

I think technically it was the right call

but if the uniforms were switched and it was Randy Moss, no way they make the call - instead they probably call "defensive pass interference but hte unbelievable Randy Moss made teh catch so the penalty will be declined, the Patriots will have our sympathy for the rest of the game, and long live the mighty Bill Belicheck"

I know that the officials are a part of the game, but this one stunk worse than others. I rewatched the game last night - and there were just some absolute blatant non-calls along with double standard calls that floored me:

1. 1st Quarter with 9:26 left - Brandon McGowan was hanging all over Tony Gonzalez in the end zone and that was never called. We ended up having to setting for a field goal instead of 1st and 10 at the 1 yard line and potential TD.

2. 1st Quarter with 5:55 left - Called roughing passer on Anderson and awarded 15 yards to the Patriots - that was a horrible call.

3. 1st Quarter with :34 seconds left - Adalius Thomas was lined up offsides - not called - the play resulted in a 2 yard loss for Turner and 2nd & 12 instead of 1st and 5 and 7 yards back. Another obvious no-call

4. 2nd Quarter with 10:36 left - Ryan threw the ball to Roddy - who dropped it. However, after the ball had reached Roddy, Ty Warren (#94) came through and deliberately tried to put Ryan out of the game. Anyone who says otherwise - do what I did - go frame by frame on that play. He hit him helmet to helmet - Ryans head flung back and sideways - then he grabbed him in his arms and was squeezing him all the way to the ground and then smashed his whole body weight onto Ryans while pushing his shoulder into the ground. I seriously do not know how Ryan got up from that. Then he sees the ref looking - so he tries to pick him up - and Ryan swung on him (had to laugh a little at that). That was the most blatant late hit - roughing the passer - helmet to helmet and unsportsmanlike conduct I have seen - and yet - no call! That a-hole should not only have been penalized - he should be fined for that crap.

5. 2nd Quarter with 10:22 left - this was the crap call by the officials when Ryans ball was batted to the ground and we had to waste a challenge. I just want to add that along with all that crap - #95 Banta-Cain started before the snap - should have been an offsides called.

6. 3rd Quarter with 7:57 left - this was Ditkas Come On Man call - Our receiver should have 36 more yards to his credit + a touchdown. Sucked! Not only that - but the game would have been tied - and we might have played differently - but who knows - now we will never know. Demoralizing on top of a bad call. But for those who were so angry they missed it - Ryan let that ball sail at the 44 yard line and Jenks caught it 1 or 2 yards into the end zone. Good 45 or 46 yards in the air - perfect strike!

7. 3rd Quarter with 1:28 left - The running was still moving and we ended up taking him down at the 39 yard line. Very, very clearly at the 39 yard line. It was 4th down coming up - and they spotted the ball at the 37 yard line making it 4th and 3 instead of 4th and 5. Would it have made a difference? I don't know - and now, we'll never know. By the way - we still held them to a field goal - but still - that was horrible.

8. 4th Quarter with 13:44 left - There were 2 very, very clear cases of pass interference on this play. I also viewed this one frame by frame - by the way - that was a strip - not a missed pass. I could never get a clear picture of the number of the first player - it was either #29 Springs or #25 Chung - but he held on to Booker for almost 10 yards - what happened to the after 5 yard rule? Then when Jenks turned and came back to catch the ball - Bodden was on him before the ball got there - yes I viewed this frame by frame - wrapped him and stripped the ball from his hands. Would have been a great defensive move if he hadn't done it early - but hey - I guess it was since the refs AGAIN missed 2 blatant PI's on one play.

Bottom line - these things did not cause us to lose the game - but I think Smith needs to file a formal complaint against the refs - and I definitely think there should be some action taken against Ty Warren. Cheating little ......

Let's not forget though added onto the bad calls is that Peterson and Lofton missed several tackles in the hole on the Rb's that led to big gains. the funniest thing....is JA98 being the only one going down on his ruffing the passer call, the QB doesn't even go down but JA98 does !! What a lightweight !!!!!

Sorry but he went down because he held up to keep from hitting him - which was the right thing to do and a crappy call.

Nice breakdown Tandy...

I saw and agree on 1, 2, 4, 5, & 6. I also saw a few times where it seemed they gave the Pats first downs when it should have been short. I know at least 3 times I thought tthey would measure and just gave them the first. You can't tell me at least one of those was not short.

Unbeleiveable, we had two chances to take the lead and the momentum but blew it when Turner fumbled and the pass interference call with Jenkins. Those were the two biggest plays in my mind. Had one of those plays turned out differently, We could have been up 17-10 going into half or up 17-16 in the thrid. We can't miss those kind of opportunities if you want to beat the Pats, especially with the refs hosing us all game.

Great post. I witnessed almost everything you said and I'm tired of refs favoring the Patriots. Believe me I live in New England and catch all of their games and it always seems like whatever team is playing them also has to play the officials as well. I know there's bad calls in every NFL game, but it just seems like there have been a "little" more than the average favoring the Patriots over the past 8 or so years. That is another HUGE reason why I hate that team and always will. I can't wait until there dynasty dies (seems like it will fall soon) and all these bandwagon fans around me (and believe me there's alot) can jump on another team (maybe the Falcons, if we're the next great dynasty it will happen). That team and their fans are complete jokes.
