stripedss
Same S _ _ _ Different Year. Until we get a defense that is more consistant and tougher (when it counts) this team will be on the outside looking in. Or we can benefit from a weak division to get a jump-start like Arizona did last year. Discuss.

bozoatl
I'm not real sure just how many times this needs to be said, but no one is listening. You guys want instant success and it's NOT going to happen. The fact that the Falcons posted an 11-5 record last year was totally unexpected, though a lot of fun!. But this team is still recovering, still rebuilding from the debacle of MV7 and Quitterino. People expect a dominating SB team right now this minute. You HAVE to give it time. All the pieces are not in place.

In the history of this franchise the defense has alwasy been the weak link. You can not refute that. Consistancy is what i'm looking for. norbendon
Agree - we definitely need to upgrade a couple of positions on D - starting with Mike Petersons.Peterson has been one of our most consistent players so far this year. It looks like the linebacker positions are the strength of our defense. We should be more worried about our interior linemen who have been routinly blown off the line line of scrimmage throughout each of the last two games (and that includes Babineaux who I'm losing faith in). Kayoh
Birds of a feather Flock together-1 + -1 = -2 LOL-2 x 2 = -4 We need better corners so we can blitz more. It's that simple. As great as it'd be to be able to just have a dominant DL that gives the QB .07 seconds to throw the ball, that isn't going to happen. We need our DL to be able to focus more on the run so our LBers can stay at least more clean than they were yesterday and then we need to be able to have enough confidence in our secondary to cover their men to blitz.
