Bernie Miklasz of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports that Laurent Robinson is done for the season with a broken leg.

Miklasz says it's either a fractured tibia or fibula -- he isn't sure. Robinson was easily the Rams' best pass catcher in their first three games, but he has been injury prone throughout his three-year pro career. Keenan Burton, who is purely a possession receiver, will move into the starting lineup. It's a major downgrade, and will make St. Louis' offense easier to defend.

the point people argue is not that we should have kept him, only that we got too little for him

This injury proves we couldn't get anymore for him. Everyone knows he's got talent but can't stay on the field.

The guy was a two year pro we drafted in the 3rd round.

Tye Hill was a first rounder and look what we got him for.

Breaking a leg has nothing to do with being injury prone.

He's consistently injured. Granted it's a fluke injury, but a lot of times being injury prone is not just a matter of being physically more likely to get hurt, but often putting yourself in a position to get injured. Not saying this is necessarily the case, but walks like duck... talks like a duck.... might be a duck.

You guys are pathetic. Taking joy in someone's injury just because it proves a point that you made? <_<

It's really not joy, just an observation. Robinson has been hurt a great deal since he was drafted. To be honest, when he was on the field he showed star quality. He just has never been able to stay on the field and it really is a shame.

Where is the joy?

People taunting him for talking smack about the team. Was it wrong? Of course. But did does he deserve to be kicked while he's down? Of course not.

I wouldnt taunt him but I got plenty to say to folks who bad mouthed the FO for trading him. I mean seriously if the guy could stay healthy he would be great in this offense but he didnt and he cant so far.
