Who Really Cost us the game?

Saying Michael Turner cost us the game is unfair. Yes, He fumbled. Regrettable but there were other plays not made:

Thomas "Bad Hands" DeCloud - dropped two sure INTs. Great position. Poor execution!

Roddy White and Tony Gonzalez were MIA!

The Defensive Line was KIA!

Petersen failed to wrap up Fred Taylor looking for the big hit!

The common denominator is this:

WE WERE ILL PREPARED FOR THIS GAME. NOT READY FOR PRIME TIME.....AND THAT FALLS ON

MIKE SMITH!

Furthermore, when it became apparent that we were ill prepared for the Pats, there was no plan B. I think Mike Smith was in Shock the whole second half as evidenced by his dumb playcalling (Punting when down by more than 14 with 7 minutes to go! Puhlease!).

We weren't ready. That said. Dust it off and hit the film room. Fix this crap because you may have been Coach of the Year in 2008 but this is 2009 and the honeymoon period is soon to be over.

THERE IS NO EXCUSE FOR POOR PREPARATION AND WE JUST GOT SMOKED!

AND YOU MR. SMITH GOT TAKEN TO SCHOOL BY PARCELLS PROTEGE!

Fix it. The Buck stops there!

Yeah I also felt the coaching staff were our weakest link. I give'em an F- for the horrid coaching in this game for sure. First of all:

First half, down by 3 with 20 seconds to go and 2 timeouts. We opt to take a knee against the best offense in football - I'm fuming.

Second half two short 4th down possesssions go with us punting the ball, down by a handsome margin, against a well prepared billichek team that just successfully converted two fourth down possessions. Tack on the third punt with 7 minutes to go, and we just basically bent over.

The deep ball was used only once all game, w/ a dubious call on finneran.

We failed to send the house on 4th down situations, resulting in taylor looking like Bo jackson in tecmo bowl. I think he could've ran the length of the field twice w/o being tackled w/ brady on his back.

Roflz @ that anti defensive line, Jamaal anderson ought to be put on the practice squad, and we should just invest in developing sorry tray, and armless johnson.

also 10 freaking offensive points???????

w/ TG, Ryan, Turner, White, and Jenkins.

10 points? W/O even risking T.O's??? how?

on the bright side I didn't choke anyone, and controlled banging my head on a wall.

How can you blame this on the staff only? There was one questionable punt through the game and the others were tough choices. Koenen (spelling i know) has a ridiculous leg and Smith knew that we could pin them inside the 20 in the 4th quarter. down by 6 you dont go for it on 4 and 3 or more...there is no need. the game isnt out of hand and we had started to get a little better at the run d. If the Pats didnt go for it 2x's on 4th down we would have had the ball in great field position. Thats a gutsy call by New England.

The coaches dont go out and play the game, they gameplan. We had a great gameplan in place if we only stopped the run. Brady did crap against our secondary. How many people thought he would have had 350+ yards through the air in this game? Up until the 4th quarter he looked like crap. We played relatively good against Moss. Even Grimes did decent against him (except for that pass interference which was a little iffy)

The blame goes every where for this loss. From the coaches to the players. We lost the game because a lack of execution.
