WoTFan
They've been doing fine in the pass. HOWEVER, they have been getting MANHANDLED in the run game. Especially McClure. NO ONE is getting good push. Turner can't get anywhere with that type of blocking.
Dharma Initiative
I said this last year, they aren't that good. They played against bad d-lines all last year and now that we have real teams we can't open a hole to crap in.
WoTFan
We really need to upgrade our C and right side of our line.Dahl is the only one who I think we might need to keep. I've always liked McClure but he's getting old and his run blocking was even lacking last year. Clabo just isn't getting it done this year. Our left side at least has upside. FalconMama
It's our interior line that's the problem. Blalock, McClure and Dahl all are struggling this season.

NO ONE is getting good push. Turner can't get anywhere with that type of blocking. Is it that the Oline isn't doing good or is it everyone knows we are a run first team no matter what, so they key on the run and stack the box with 8 or 9 people on first and second down
DynomiteD
This is not true. Teams are just begging us to run the ball. they are loading the box and saying "come on turner". The run game will never have success until we prove we can win throwing the ball. So, stop running into a brick wall and take what the defenses are giving you. Pass the ball, we can win without the running game, and yet they run the ball when the passing game is there for the taking. Why can't they see that teams will not let us win by running the football. DynomiteD
The O line actually had a pretty good game, now the D line not so much to say the least.
DynomiteD
In my opinion most of the blame for this loss is due to to the coaching staff.

gazoo
we have struggled against 3-4 defenses over the last 2 seasons for some reason. And why would you have your center manned up on a 340lb lb pure 2 gap NT??? No center in the NFL is going to win that one and that snap was on the coaching staff for a scheme related blunder. I like the guy. I even said that the whole right side of the line was bad and that Baker was the only one with a positive performance. But you single out McClure because he'd one of your "favorites." The fact is McClure has had problems in the run game these past two years. You can't change that fact. We can't change the fact that the whole line hasn't been run blocking well.YOU however can DENY it just like you do with all your other favorites. gazoo
The fact is McClure has had problems in the run game these past two years. you are welcome to your opinion, but many people that know more than you or I about OL play say he's been playing excellent football. How many sacks has he given up i the last two years? Where was our running game rated all last year? yeah, ok dude, he has been playimg terrible for two years because we played an easy defense last year and otherwise would have been rated #32 in run offense...ok, whatever.I will give you this, he had a bad game which is very rare for him.(unless you are a selct few around here that don;t want to admit you were dead wrong about him all those years like Cappy, Swiffer and you.I wil, also say, any center that mans uop against Vince Wilfork is going to look bad. Wilfork has spent gis career with a OC and an OG o him every snap.
FalconFanatic!!!!
yeah pass blocking was great but run blocking is seriously hurting

Brehus
Did you know that the Falcons are averaging 3.0 yards per carry on first down for the season? The only reason it is that high is because Snelling had a run of 20 yards on one play. Without that 20 yard run by Snelling the Falcons would be averaging 2.61 yard per carry on first down for the season. I guess stacking the box does stop the run
kevykev21
Turner is taking a lot of crap from some for not producing, but as many have said already, he doesn't have much to work with. LOL @ how defensive gazoo gets when his "boys" are blamed for anything. How dare anyone say anything bad about McClure!

Thats a bad game. And he hasn't had a "good" game all year.
