Tribal Chief
We started 2-1 last season. Went into the bye after 6 games 4-2. Heck you can even say we started 2-2. It's all about the way you finish. We did play the Patriots. I'm guessing alot of people underestimated them. If you're mad, you're only mad at yourself. We kept them in check through 3 quarters. Brady was frustrated, which is when he plays his best. No use in being upset. We have another tough defense in 2 weeks. How bout supporting your team. You guys act like we are the Raiders
Dedsquirl
The loss stings and had me pi$$ed for a bit, but you are speaking sense bro.I think once everyone gets their bile out, it will get back to sensible around here.2-1 is sweet and a loss like that should get the staff and players inspired to really come out and put it on the 9ers. MattIceRyanMVP2
You're exactly right. It's all about getting hot at the end of the year, Look at the Giants, and the Cardinals over the last couple years. I will happily take loses early in the year if it means winning games later in the year.

MattyIce07
I agree, everyone is up in arms about this and that, and I agree we didn't do some things well today. But we all need to keep in perspective that we played the team of the decade at their house. We got outcoached by the coach of the decade. We got beat in the 4th quarter by (arguably) the QB of the decade. This is a tough game to win any which way you cut it. We didn't have a great day execution-wise and not a good day coaching-wise, but folks it happens. There's not a team in the national football league who goes out (save for 1 team a few years ago) and is happy with the way their team performs and is satisfied with the result 16 weeks out of the year. No need to give up on our squad, saying remarkably silly things like "Turner is holding this team back" and "Smith + turner = fail." As fans, let's take the loss for what it is, a road loss against the Patriots, and not overreact.

cyofish
Losing a hard fought game is acceptable. Losing to a Patriots team that was a shell of its previous self is not acceptable. Brady was largely very erratic. The ran and threw the ball on us at will. Only thing stopping the Patriots Offense was the Patriots. The DL was being man handled. Just goes to show how much Peria Jerry meant to the DL. The few plays where the DL played well, the LB didn't show discipline and was out of position to make the play. While the Patriots Defense was hustling and swarming around the ball, our defense ran flat footed and didn't show much hassle away from the play. Even on offense they didn't play with much urgency in the 2nd half. So what's disappointing is not the loss but the way we loss. If this is indicative of the effort we're gong to get for this season, this year is not going to be as good as we hoped.
texasbirdfan
No. Bad post. We like to win. It was a winnable game. Losers accept losing without analyzing why. That is what we are doing. Act like a winner and quit settling for average.
Jesus
Eh...we lost it happens. It's not like this team was going 16-0We met a very good team on their home field in some pretty crappy weather. They outplayed us, outcoached us, outouted us.We have two weeks to get Turner running right and get that D-Line playing right. SF could be the right team at the right time for a win. The key is to get hot and wining by the team we meet New Orleans, the only team that worries me on the schedule.

LSFalcon
I totally agree. I don't understand why everyone was underestimating the Patriots so much. They're still a great team and most of the game I think we played them pretty well. A 2-1 record is far from bad. We need to support our team especially since having 1 loss to a great team is definitely no reason to start with the negativity.
