Bergin
Some used to call me Dan Reeves...lol. Others dont know me. It doesnt matter anyway. Im a DIEHARD FALCON FAN SINCE BIRTH...like most of u on this board. If you are not a diehard fan, u shouldnt be here. Why Im stating this is because I feel Ive seen the best and worst, and been thru it all with this team...in my 28years. Again, if u are a diehard Falcons fan...keep Reading!!I was reading another post, and it has an article by the AJC stating that the Patriots approach surprised our defense. I agree, the Patriots havent showed a running threat all year, and then we get burnt for 160 on the ground. Figures!! But what I dont agree with is this...look at the last few lines, where it says that the Falcons front four havent recorded a sack in 8 quarters!! Look...Patriots’ approach surprised Falcons’ defenseBy By Tim Casey Mass. — The Falcons spent dozens of hours preparing for Tom Brady, watching film and analyzing the quarterback’s tendencies. In the Patriots’ first two games, they had thrown on 70 percent of their offensive plays. The Falcons’ defensive linemen were determined to pressure Brady on Sunday afternoon, make him rush his throws and not feel comfortable in the pocket. Instead, too often, Brady had plenty of time to find open receivers. For the second consecutive game, the Falcons’ front four didn’t record a sack. The Patriots emphasized rushing more than usual, gaining 168 yards on 39 carries, led by 12-year veteran Fred Taylor’s 105 yards. Entering Sunday, the team had only 43 rushes for 156 yards, which ranked 26th in the NFL.NO MATTER WHO WE PLAY, ITS NO SURPRISE THAT WE HAVE TO SACK THE QB!! Especially Mr. Brady!! Now I do agree, on the TD pass to Baker...Abraham was held and there should have been a penalty. However, We will lose to Cutler, Romo, Brees, Manning,McNabb...ect. if we cant get to them. This isnt rocket science here...lol...but its obvious we have to correct our D-Line problem. Im trying to look for some good things here, and there are a few we should be happy about. How about...we were in the game without any pressure on Brady!! We ran for 59 yards, and still had a chance to win the game. We didnt force a turnover, and we were in the game. The theme here is "we were in the game". Now, lets just say we get a lil better. Lets say we get Turner going, and get some pressure on the QB. Lets say we get Tye Hill, or Chevis Jackson in the game making some plays in Nickel. How about a KR or PR for a TD?? We are close to being really good!! We have SF,CHI,DAL,N.O. the next four games. I believe the next 4 games will make or break our season. The bye week came at the right time!! GO FALCONS...WE ARE CLOSE!!!PS- Ive given up on JA98...we need to trade him. Bergin
Nice post...If we can get 10 footballs and a Gatorade I would take it to get rid of Jamaal.LOL. Maybe slide him inside on passing downs inside Biermann. But I agree, this off-season he's gotta go. We've been patient. He's hurting our TEAM. He's got to go! Everything before that last sentence was talking up how we are close to getting to where we need to be. Then you hit that last line and I laughed out laud pretty hard.
