SmittS
We're only 3 games into a 16 game season. We are still a good football team. There is a reason many picked us to win this game. Subtract the Turner fumble and Jenks PI call and we still had a good chance to win. We are in very good shape. Did everyone think we were going 19-0? Now if we lose to the Bucs then have a meltdown. Until then, STFU and get over it.

AF89
Meh nothing new. The naysayers and the chicken littles always come out after a loss. They'll quite down by wednesday when they get bored.
srichter23
yeah a lot of people are overreacting. let's just hope a lot of coaching gets done in the bye week and the falcons will be ready for san francisco

slamee101
Come on man, you know this board is full of idiots.I have my concerns after this loss and think a lot of folks jumped the gun on how good we are...but the IQ of the fans on this board after a loss sometimes is comical. RyanFalconMan
I am excited about the 2-1 start. When you looked back before the season started and saw that we opened with, the dolphins, Panthers and Patriots before the bye, it was tough to vision us going 3-0. Those are 3 solid teams who all were or should of been a part of the playoffs last year. We have to look at the season as 4 quarters. We have one more game to finish off the first quarter, and it will be really nice to get to 3-1 in a couple of weeks. This was a good game for the Falcons to build on. It also helps that we lost to an AFC opponent.
Beezy
We faced a tough team today... and like said.... played well to a point. But there were some bright spots and some terrible spots.I thought Weems did well returning kickoffs. He gave us good field position but unfortunately we were unable to capitalize.I thought DeCoud played well, but he dropped some big interceptions! We can't afford to loose those.Thomas Johnson played terribly. They ran up the gut the first half. Trey had a much better game and deserves the start. The loss of Jerry is more devastating than anticipated.Turners ball security is an issue and happens at the worst time. Jason Snelling continues to step up. Ryan struggled in his decision making. Gonzalez was wide open on some key third downs???Overall, I thought we put ourselves in a great position to at least keep the game close... but the coaching was off... ? why did we challenge the fumble?? it was obvious his knee was down.... also.... why not trust our offense to convert 4th and short???. The score does not give our team justice.Note...... that was the worst officiating I have seen in a long time, but they did not cause us to lose this game..... the coaching was the catalyst! IMO
crabapplejoe
I agree...everybody relax. C'mon we went into Foxboro with the Patriots coming off a division loss. The chances of us winning this game were not good. Both the D and the O were exposed as not being as good as some folks had thought. Thank goodness Welker didn't play or this could have gotten ugly. THEY WANT TO SHARE IN THE VICTORY ..... BUT DEFEAT BELONGS TO THE TEAM. WHAT A CREW.
isproab
While unlikely that we go undefeated, it is terrible when you lose a game like this. N.E. was not lights out, they were very beatable considering all the missed connections they had on offense. If Turner does not fumble it is a different game. We had no rhythm to our offense. I hate dropping games like this. If we get it handed to us by a superior team, fine, but not b/c we just could not get it going.
