jgator21
Has Tebow done anything this year besides recite lines from Varsity Blues? The video of that was from last year at the Championship game. As for what he's done, he's the best player and leader of the #1 team in the country so he will be up there until that changes.

Eddie Dominguez
This year no he hasn't.When has he ever done anything. Im sorry but Teabow is an average QB who has the luxury of running the ball in at the goal line all the time. Thats why the UF running backs will always be known for having talent and speed but not much else. If Matt Stafford would have gotten all of Knowshons TDs from 10 yards and in he might have won the Heisman as well.

Too many fans use history, but I don't when it comes to 2009 and the Heisman race. He has two cupcakes he has played and the two games against real competition (well if you want to call uk that) his numbers aren't heisman like. borofalcon
McCoy, Best, and Tebow are obvious picks at this point. I still think Eric Berry is the most talented player in all of college football, but I doubt he'll get a real look.

Exactly how is that average?numbers dont always tell the true story weve all seen Teabow play and he completes alot of passes in that offense but you throw that stat out there like hes slinging it around like Sam Braford does or Max Hall. theres a difference
SacFalcFan
He's #2 active QB in passing efficiency. Exactly how is that average?Play some decent teams before touting anything tebow has done this year. You have played 2 cupcakes and kentucky. He has the 6th best qb rating in college football. He is in a great system. IMO Tebow is an average passer, but he is a great player. He is one heck of a running back from the qb spot. Perhaps you didnt see the SEC and National championship games last year when he was perfect passing in the 4th quarter in BOTH games and lead the team to victories in both. Oh and hes as good a leader as there is in the game. Hes also only thrown 11 interceptions in his entire career added to the fact that he threw for 62 TD's the last 2 years. He hasnt done much. Im sorry you may not like the fact that the guy is hard as can be to tackle and is as good a weapon as there is in and around the goaline but to say hes never done anything because of that is plain out absurd. Im man enough to say that was a bone head statment. However i do not like that fact that he gets so many carries close to the goal line and i meant what i said about the UF running backs. jgator21
I understand and agree in many ways with what your saying about the backs but when you have a player that can do what Tim can you let him do what he does best to win football games. If you llok at the year before he got there when Leak was QB Ciatrick Fason was our primary RB and he rushed for 1267 yards on 222 carries with 10 TD's. A player like Tim just changes the way you do things because there arent many that can do what he does down there.

Carter
I think Jahvid Best kinda went on the backburner after he got shut down by Oregon. As much as I love me some Oregon, they just don't have that good a run defense. They dialed him up and kept him in check. Plus, he's not even standing out head and shoulders above Jacquizz Rodgers or Toby Gerhart in the Pac-10. I just don't see him winning it at this point. I don't think RBs usually get it if they had a game or two where they got totally shut down. For right now, I'll say...1. Tim Tebow2. Colt McCoy3. Case KeenumColt McCoy has had a slow start, but I believe he'll end up winning it this year. Despite the slow start he's STILL 8th in the nation in total yards, over 70% on his completions. I think it's Colt's year... especially with the effects of Tebow's concussion yet to be seen on his gameday effectiveness. (Concussions are a very big deal and while I'm not saying it will necessarily directly effect Tebow at this point, it could effect how the coaches call plays for him against the defenses he'll be facing the rest of the year.)Also, thought I'd throw this in there.... I don't think Oklahoma's offense is gonna miss a beat with Bradford going to the NFL after this year. Landry Jones will probably make some noise in the Heisman discussion before his time at OU is up. Not this year, obviously, but he looks like he'll be about as productive as Bradford.

I agree to an extent, but you also have to consider that Stoops isn't just bringing in run of the mill QB recruits either.Texas is pretty much the same.
