Falconsfan567
Now that we know when Bobby will retire the new question is who do you want to replace him? I vote for Ned Yost. He already has learned the errors of his ways so he won't make the same mistakes again. Plus he got the Brewers on the right track to respectablilty. Before he left to manage the Brewers he was with Bobby the longest.
Unknøwn
Im not sold on Fredi yet and I dont think TP would do much good as a manager I went with Eddie because I think he'd be a perfect fit to follow Bobby and catchers usually make for great managers

I'm just afraid that they are grooming TP to take over. That would be a huge mistake. Nobody listens to him as a hitting coach because he sucks so what makes me think the team will agree with his decisions as manager?
R.C. Collins
I would want Fredi because he seems to be a really good manager and he has been able to keep the Marlins really competitive even with a slim payroll.
Goodoleboy58
i have a feeling fredi would burn alot of bridges with the current players though, he's known as a hard-*** to the Marlins... which might be a good change of pace, but it wont come without upsetting some current players

Cable Guy
Greg Maddux.I would like to have Maddux as the Manager, but that won't happen for at least another 5 years or so. For now I would prefer Eddie Perez.

ugadawg
I think Freddie. He continues to get the Marlins to play hard without fan support ownership support, and a low payroll. If he can do that with the Marlins what could he do with a 100 mil payroll

K26dp
Freddie Gonzalez would be great. Unfortunately, he's under contract with the Marlins through 2011, and they're unlikely to allow him to go to a team within the division.Ned Yost is a good baseball guy, but his team never really got behind him in Milwaulkee. That may be more of a reflection on the players then on Ned, but nothing he did in Milwaulkee has made me want him back here.Terry Pendleton may become a better manager than a hitting coach, but his overall hitting philosophy is just wrong for the organization. He's likely to hire a hitting coach with a philosophy similar to his, and that's just not working.I like Eddie Perez, and I think he may make a good manager someday, but he needs some seasoning first, perhaps as a bench coach or third base coach. I've never heard of a bullpen coach making the jump up to manager. My choices:1. Roger McDowell2. Phil Wellman3. Jim Fregosi
K26dp
Ron Gardenhire.Gardenhire is under contract with the Twins through 2011. Unless he just wants to go somewhere else, he'll always have a spot in Minnesota.

Hotlanta Steve
I voted Pendleton but I'd be pretty happy with Perez too. I definitely think we should make it an in house hire though.

Falconsfan567
Don't count on it.Agreed. Minnesota is a great baseball town and they always sellout when they are in the race for the playoffs and with them getting a new stadium next year. A better question would be why would anyone leave Minnesota for Atlanta with our sorry fan base? I have been really disappointed with the crowds the last 2 nights. I was totally expecting 40,000.
