.CharlestonChad.
What say you? I think Douglas is a bigger loss. We don't have a slot WR or PR with his elusiveness. Jerry on the other hand was a rookie DT that wasn't expected to be a huge presence this season.
Rev_Hal
Jerry was starting to make an impact on teh Dline. We found a suitable replacement for Douglas, not yet for Jerry.
juiceaccts
He was fast, he could catch, he could return... and that was his rookie year. Marty is an OK replacement, pretty reliable hands it looks like. Weems is OK.We have enough depth at DT that it's not too big of a deal, it just sucks that we didn't get a chance to see how he would have developed.I'm gonna have to go with Harry D. Jaymadd
Neither on Sunday, Douglas intially but we found replacements by committee. We had a pretty strong competition going on at DT, which mean we dont have any slouches at DT, so i think we will be Ok considering that Jerry had only played in two games so we really dont know what we missed. Considering that Jerry injury hurts his development, If i had to vote I would say Jerry only because he was slated to be a starter.
1989Fan
IMO Jerry was a bigger loss mainly because the addition of Gonzo more than makes up for HD on offense. We have a deep corp of recievers.Jerry was playing well, and taking alot of doubles to open things for our LBs, and their numbers show it.Not to mention the importance he had in the rotation to keep the line fresh. I would always prefer to keep a starting lineman over a slot WR.
MattM12
i prefer our pass catching depth much more than our line depth... pretty simple one for me

ConnFalcon
I'd have to say Jerry. I think the line is the most important part of your team.

And especially Peterson coming out as the leader of this defense and the biggest playmaker on our team right now.
rugger8
Seriously? A starting DT, one of the most important positions in football versus a backup/#3 WR? There's nothing to even think about....
flyguy28
i would say jerry beacuse booker seems to be doing very well and its gonna be hard to find someone to fill in jerrys shoes on the line he seemed to be playing well
g30rgia_boi
i would say Jerry due to the fact that it would ease the doubling on our ends and also cause he help clog the middle....like someone else said we got TG who is making the most of it the first 2 games. Weems is descent in the PR game. ALOT better than Jennings...lol..HD was just more of a checkdown if White, TG, and Jenkins were covered imo. I won't say "we'll be fine", but I hope that Johnson and Walker step up and that Jerry uses the time to take mental reps, learn the defense and to add even more upper body strength, while recovering from the knee injury. Flip Wilson
With Harry we had time to bring in some people before the season started. So it's the timing of the injury to Jerry that hurts us more.
BrockSamson
While losing an explosive player like HD was big, our offense is so stacked that we can work around it fairly easily. It's yet to be seen how well we can replace a D-line fixture like Jerry, but I suspect Lewis and TJ will hold their own. Until they prove it though, Jerry is the bigger loss. Finally
I am not fretting over either one. Jerry is the bigger loss because it happened so soon and now his development will be set back.
nativefalcon
Douglas, he was a number 3 receiver and a good one and a great punt returner, Jerry HAS NOT proven anything to me yet. I think its said he got knocked out, but we need pressure and I haven't seen it yet, maybe next year. Even Trey Lewis had a sack, one of the reasons they have kept him around he was a 6th round? MattyIce222
HD would have been awesome to have this season and woulda contributed aton but our offense will do fine without himin terms of losing peria, he drew so many double teams in just these two games and we are goin to miss the run support he brought
Peyton
Doesn't matter, you play the game with the guys that you have. IMO there are 4 players on the team that can't be lost to injury if this team is going to win a Super Bowl this year. Those guys are still healthy so it's all good.
