Chris D
I liked what I saw, how they Incorporated into the offense today was great. The only argument I have about it is, when he was in the game it was nearly every time a pass play. He ran the ball twice I think? And I know it's only the first game, and that Miami was doing a great job stopping the running game, but I would really hope that they start letting Norwood actually carry the ball as well as catch the ball. If they let him carry the ball more, wouldn't it open up the passing game that much more when he came on the field because they wouldn't know if they were running or throwing? Maybe I'm wrong, but I just got to thinking about that.
atljokerz
You are right about putting him in on both running and passing plays, but you are also right about Miami having a stout defense forcing us to pass more than we would like. MattIceRyanMVP2
You're right, Norwood should get more than two carries.

S y C o B i R d
Its been a long time coming but hopefully this will be Norwood's claim to being an impact player. He's explosive been hes always had trouble finding holes and getting out of the backfield. I've been praying for 3 years he'd be used more this way
Lord Sarcomere
I think we can expect 7-10 carries a game with around 3 or 4 receptions a game from Norwood. On average, I'm guessing he'll touch the ball 11-15 times a game on offense, which is terrific. Running him some will also open the passing lanes back up.For a similar reason, we should pass to Turner more out of the backfield...it will open up more lanes for Turner to run through. Turner was slow getting to the holeand it was closing up on him. He got most of his yards this week whenit didn't matter. Norwood could have helped us but didn't get enough touchesto even be a factor. Turner will be fine but a little more Norwood would havehelped out today. nativefalcon
I just wish they would let norwood do more screen passes like Westbrook does or for that matter let Turner do them too. Let them get out in the open and build some speed.
falcndave
Back in Albany, NY. I had a little plane ride to think about it.I saw a BIG difference in the way Norwood was finishing plays. After his first carry, where he managed to get 3 yards less than he should have by hesitating, he got VERY authoritative. I don't know if it was suggested on the sideline or just a coincidence. On a couple of his first down reception he turned North HARD and with athority after catching the ball. It was fun watching him hit hard on those first down plays. He is starting to learn there is a time to shake and bake, and a time to move the chains.

falcndave
I did see him truck a player finishing one runNo one said he did. I said he turned it up hard instead of the lateral dance steps. He needed 4 yards...he got 6. In times past he would get 3.5 trying to hit the home run.
1981falcsny
I fully agree with nativefalcon, Norwood + Screen = GOLD , give him a few blockers and it could be big.
Norwood all the way!
I'd love to see us use Norwood more on screens , I think give him a few blockers and it could be big.he will just outrun his blockers but seriously, ide like to see him in some screens also. he just needs to be patient with his blockers and use them. I have a feeling Norwood will break one against the panthers. I can smell it
Chris D
I'm just hoping he gets more carries, and Turner gets out of the backfield to catch the ball a little more. I think the offense would be absolutely unstoppable, more so than it is right now, if they did that. It just opens up so much more stuff. It's kind of weird that I would think of that after the game.. I don't usually have good thoughts in terms of ideas lol
gazoo .
Norwood is overrated. He's not that fast and goes down the first time anyone lays a finger on him.
kal
The first 2 plays with Norwood were very interesting. Both of them he resisted the temptation to try and bounce it outside. On the reception especially I thought he could have headed for the sidelines and got a lot more, but at the same time it was nice to see him commit to getting the first down as soon as he secured the ball
Treptow
I liked what i saw. Ive always thought that he would fit better as a specialty guy. Kinda like Westbrook and Reggie Bush. Not so much an every down guy but 3rd and long and such. With his speed and being in passing formations D's still gotta respect the run but hes high octane in he passing game with his speed and strength matchup in the secondary.
