illest_will
first off, great game, our D played great, we controlled the ball, Matt Ryan had a good game. but **** he still isn't showing the right touch on deep balls...3 or 4 times Roddy had them beat deep and it was either over thrown or under thrown hopefully it's just 1st game jitters
bossFALCON™
1st game jitters plus he had the flu earlier this week guys. i think he'll play even better next week.
illest_will
true, at the very least he isn't under throwing a lot like last year...he's getting it out there, and it had the zip...i think Roddy could've played the ball better on his 1st deep throw too. eurobird
He managed the game beautifully. He will get into it, he will throwing some long balls for TDs as soon as next week!
Chris D
He didn't practice all week, it was probably hurting his timing a little bit and his accuracy. I'm not trying to make excuses, but timing is important and plays a lot into a guys accuracy. He'll be fine next week.
BCEagleATLFalcon
Would have LOVED to see 4 TD's from Matt today ... easily could have happened. Although, I think Norwood could have made a little more of a play for the ball in the endzone. The Roddy throw was all on Matt. (IMHO)
Finally
He hasn't gotten his timing down yet.
nativefalcon
Matt just seemed like a second off on all his deep passes, he will get it corrected.
Norwood all the way!
i think it was just jitters and first real game of the season. Ryan was hitting those long balls last season
schwarzenegger321
If Matty did have the flu I think that is why his timing was off. Pretty much off the whole game but the first quarter it was really noticable. It looked like he was having a hard time out there for a while. duncja
The thing to me, is he looked better than a 2nd year pro. No he didn't come out like Brady or Manning, but he played well. We put up 19 points, left a for sure 7 on the field(2 FG's and an extra point), but easily could have had another 2 TD's. Guys... THIS is the year. RVA Falcon Fan
Offense seemed a little off today, but like everyone else, I chalk it up to first game jitters. They'll settle down and gel. After the Panther's performance today I think next week could be a huge game for us and we'll have great momentum going into week 3 against the Pats! You know Ryan can't be happy with how this game went, he'll make up for it next week
illest_will
feels like it man...that was a dominant defensive performance

Especially to Roddy and the back out a couple of times. He under threw the ball on several occasions and I think that was just him not feeling well. That toss to Gonzo on the three yard line was excellent. He put it where no one else could catch it. That is something a seasoned pro does, not a second year player. He just at times looked a little off, plus walking off the field a couple of times he really looked drained. Like he was sick.
