Michael K
Running back Jonathan Stewart and linebacker Jon Beason participated in practice and said they're set to play against the Eagles.Stewart's practice was his first since Aug. 11. He was resting a sore Achilles. Beason bounced back quickly from an MCL sprain in his left knee.http://blogs.charlotte.com/panthers/2009/0...y-pm-notes.html

Ok right Hey you want to know something else about preseason. Only one team has ever won a superbowl after going 0-4 in the preseason. A little fun fact for u there. I'm sure that trend will continue.

Big Bubba
That's great news. I hope the Panthers make an example out of the Eagles in week 1. Nothing will fully erase the memory of last years playoff blunder, but the Panthers destroying one of the 09 Paper Champions will help a lot. (playoff game not withstanding)TURN THOSE "BEAST BACKS" A LOOSE ON THEM ...... they won't know what hit'em.
Michael K
I'm glad a panthers fan finally admitted what a blunder/debacle last seasons playoff game was!You were here this offseason, right? Was anyone going around calling it a triumph like the Falcons fans were over their loss?
Michael K
Honestly, it was not a realistic view by many panther fans of what went down that day. We were in a game and you guys were totally out of a game, not a fact that any panther fan is willing to admit to my knowledge? No, we just weren't willing to shovel accolades on the Falcons for losing a playoff game. It's not that we're not willing to admit it, it's just that, ultimately, how close the game supposedly was or wasn't doesn't mean anything to anyone that's not a Falcons fan.Do you think anyone in the Panthers fan base honestly thinks the loss against Arizona was anything other than an enormous failure? The sports media has spent the entire offseason dumping **** on the Panthers and Delhomme-trust me, we've heard. The NFL season starts today, and the NFC South's season starts on Sunday. I am not thinking about what happened eight months ago, not right now.

We were in a game and you guys were totally out of a game, not a fact that any panther fan is willing to admit to my knowledge?Of course the Panthers played a very very bad game against the Cardinals. Why applaud another team for losing though? The Falcons gave the Cardinals all the momentum they needed to steamroll the Panthers and Eagles. Why give out a "Congrats!" to that? Bucman™®
Its quite rich that falcon fans sit here and point the fact Panther fans CANT realize their playoff game was horrible, yet at the very same time the Falcons refuse to admit their own horrible loss against that very same team! Y'all didn't "barely" loss, it wasn't even close!
jungleking
Not for a Brooking bonehead play bucman we probably pull out the game on the road...panthers at home was horriffic! If that was the way they were going to represent they they may as well lost to the saints and given the Falcons the home game...which would've been a much different outcome at home. Don't worry we won't make that mistake this season...Falcons gain HFA this season!A loss is a loss is a loss is a loss is a loss. And nobody in the NFL will tell you differently. Carolina fans aren't the ones with an unrealistic viewpoint, apparently.

Of course it's much easier to just pin it all on Brooking, since he's gone.
