Bring It
The Falcon secondary is below mediocre on pass coverage...................especially on 3rd downs. It has been this way for years and continues. We do a nice job on first down, stop them cold on 2nd down then give away the store on 3rd down. CONSISTANTLY.Some things never change. -_-http://www.ajc.com/sports/atlanta-falcons/...are-131795.html
benny
i agree, and this team will live or die based on how well Abraham plays.

g-dawg
yes, its amazing how the Falcos for 40 years have been in the bottom 25% of the league in pass defense - never remember this team excelling in this area.
whitekb011
I do believe our secondary is week, but believed they can be coached up. Houston needs to go after this season.
pured-hallfan
If Babs continues to develop and Abe does well. Our pass defense will come down to the young guys across from them stepping up the pressure from the front side. Brierman/Jerry/Sidbury/Davis/ have all shown flashes of their tremendous upside. IF our pass rush can work well with timely blitzes we could have the opposing QBs under pressure which always makes DBs look good. A QB who is running or on the ground is not as accurate as one sitting in the pocket taking his time. NO doubt Decoud/Grimes/Hill/Houston/Owens/Chevis/Harris/Moore will need to develop but they are all young and with playing time they will learn. Especially with a talented veteran like Coleman back there to lead them.

Falcons Ace
If we can stop the run, this will make it easier to stop the pass. We force them into more 3rd and longs, we can commit to the pass. 3rd and 8+ is easier to deal with than 3rd and 3, and we have faced a lot of that in recent years. I am certain our defense will not give up 3rd and longs like it did in preseason.
