coastiemike
http://blogs.nfl.com/2009/09/05/jaguars-tr...o-might-be-cut/The Jaguars are shopping DB Brian Williams ahead of the 6 p.m. ET roster cutdown deadline, a league source told NFL Network’s Jason La Canfora, and he could become a salary-cap casualty if he isn’t traded.Williams, a eighth-year veteran who played some safety but mostly cornerback, is due to earn $4 million this season, $5 million next season and $6 million in 2011. coastiemike
Sounds like he could be a quality CB.LINKComment: Williams has been the Jaguars starting right CB since coming to Jacksonville from Minnesota where he played for four years. He had one of his best seasons of his career in 2008 as he finished with 82 tackles and two interceptions. He is a good-sized corner with excellent agility and body control. He has above average speed and understands angles and how to keep receivers within his range. He has supple hips that he can flip to turn and run with receivers without loosing relationship. He shows good route recognition and does a good job of reading the quarterback's eyes to get a jump on the ball. He shows good body control and ball skills when in position to make a play on the ball. He likes to jump on underneath routes and does a good job of taking away slants with a good, quick inside position. If he had upper-echelon long speed he would probably be an elite corner. FalconFan13
Williams is a very good CB. He was better than Rashean mathis the 1 year he started with him. Didn't like him as a safety to much.

coastiemike
He and Dealtha Oneal who was just released by the Texans would be a solid pair at CB.
MR Falcon
TD & Smith might wait till all the cuts are done and on the board so that they make the right decision according to scheme , fit , and best available player , because they will have a better chance to sign them probably for less money than under their current contracts price . But he might be the player we need , we will see soon enough .
