Jaymadd
Despite what the Chicken Little's are saying, our Run defense has been playing pretty well this preseason. I am happy with what i have seen from our Run Defense. Miami and Carolina are teams that utilize the Run to beat the opposing teams. Hopefully we can continue to build on the foundation that our run defense has established, I think we stand a very good chance of beating Miami and Carolina. Neither Miami or Carolina defenses have been tremendously good this preseason and both have problems in their respective secondarys. Smitty said that he wanted to establish a team that is built to Run the ball and stop the Run and so far it appears that we can do both (moreso on Defense). I am not preaching have faith, even though yall should, but just want to point out the fact that we may have an advantage if our Run defense shows up each game for the first two games. I was really impressed with our 1st units run defense last night. Just a Day in the Mind of Jaymadd
Tribal Chief
3-0. No need to be scared of New England. They are just another team like the rest on our schedule. Everyone acts like they cant be beat

Everyone acts like they cant be beatThe only thing that scares me is Brady can beat our blitz. Moss is a tall, athletic WR who could kill us all day. I think it will be a close one. Karst41
Brady will dismantle our POS DB's .Del Homey will have a career day against our DB'sWho knows what the Fins will bring.
DomeDefense
Brady and Moss will torch our DBs.......we are just not capable os ints anything....maybe if the other teams throw fuzzy balls and we got spikes on our gloves....maybe!!!! Tribal Chief
Who cares about Brady being back. Not being rude by that I may add. I've noticed that he's a bit fragile now. That slam from Haynesworth actually had more of a affect than they are leading us to believe. Why write our very own team off b/c he's there. Screw Moss to. We will have a gameplan put together for them. Stop going by pre season play. Geez have faith in your football team for crying out loud. Heck Detroit won some games this pre season, does that mean they are better than us. Sorry for coming so strong, been up since 3:30 yesterday

Tribal Chief
We already know the first 2 games are W's jay, I just skipped to the first important game of the season. That's our statement game basically. It's the game where we silence their fans and open all the unloyal fans and analysts eyes

illest_will
Delhomme had a good game against us in his L and W so it's not like we won't keep them in the game by makin bad qbs play good. What'll win games for us is matt ryan, michael turner, and our offense
Tribal Chief
Man I promise you, even if we start 0-2 or 1-1, New England will be the game everyone brings their A+ Game. Even Houston. I got a feeling we will see Houston and Hill starting, with Owens and Jackson playing nickel and dime. Moore will also play a huge role in that game at SS. I cant wait to see how many wagoners climb back aboard after that game
coastiemike
Why is it that alot of folks here say don't worry about our defense, they are playing Vanilla schemes, are putting players in positions to see how they do, etc... Then, we hear people saying we should get wins because this or that team's defense has played poorly in the preseason. Maybe they are doing the same thing the Falcons are. To believe we are not running a serious defense while other teams are in the preseason is hypocritical.

It really helps going into a big game like the one against the Pats with a Win, hopefully two.

I didnt say anything about Vanilla schemes, I simply stated the positive that i saw from our defense this preaseason and trying to relay that into how we could win against the first two teams we play
coastiemike
Neither Miami or Carolina defenses have been tremendously good this preseason and both have problems in their respective secondarys.Ok, relevant to the topic, our secondary has been 10x worse than both of these teams this preseason. Our run defense has been solid, but we can't defend screen passes. While I think we have a solid D-Line, they can't put pressure on the QB, hence why we allow 3rd and longs multiple times. I really dont think we will have a problem getting pressure, we actually did get more pressure this last game and the QB's had to make some quick throws, but when your first read is the side that HOuston is then we have problem, which is why he needs to be replaced.
