Statick
Oh yeah. They're happy he's gone. But these are the same people that rejoiced when they got rid of Warner.
Falcons 'til Death
You never know, a change of scenery might be what the doctor ordered and for a 7th isn't much of a gamble.
Moderator
Universal truths: When a player leaves, they focus on his weaknesses. When a player arrives, they focus on his strengths. And I wonder if he and Matt Ryan will reminisce about this play when Tye gets here: --Moderator
bossFALCON™
and what corners have the rams developed in the last 5 years? **** what DB have the rams developed in the last 5 years besides oj? i think hill will do good for us. we heard similar stuff about foxy and how he was a bum and was the bronco's 4th corner. look at how that turned out. now he's getting paid 7 mil a year. ~SEAMILL~
I was hoping to get some real info him from the fans. But I agree, they usually just say good riddance, and the like.
AndrewsFrancisBart
And one poster said he was a "one trick pony, all he could do was cover." Well that's exactly what we need...a cover corner. Of course he's a bust for them, a first-rounder traded for a seventh-rounder. Doesn't mean he's going to be a bust for us. This smells like a need for a change of scenery. He had a good rookie season, then got bit by the injury bug. But it was his wrist and torn cartilage in his knee; not the dreaded ACL injury. He also had no talent around him, and he was usually playing from behind. Give this speedster a lead like our offense is likely to do, and let him go ball hunting. He could be a 7-8 interception back for us.
FalconinPA
well since the Rams say he is a bust, that scares the **** out of me. That whole rams organization sure knows alot about busts.
Tootie Quivers
The fact remains he played 12 games out of a possible 32 the last two years so he would naturally be unproductive in that sense. I know this, he had 3 INT's as a rookie. He is clearly talented and is going to be coming to an area he is familiar with. Clemson is only a couple of hours from Flowery Branch. From a talent standpoint, I would argue that he is now the most talented CB we have.

Rev_Hal
Imagine if JA98 ended up on IR for 2 seasons. He would be run out of town too. If he were a stud superstar, we would not have gotten him for a 7th round pick.
falconphanatic
What number was Hill with the Rams last year? I went back and looked at some of the Falcons-Rams game from last year and he doesn't appear to be playing? Was he hurt by then?

Shaudaveli
Of course he is a bust FOR THE RAMS, but that doesn't mean he will be a bust in Atlanta. If we traded Jamaal Anderson right now most fans would consider him a bust but that doesn't mean his career is over. This is not shocking that fans would react this way considering a former 1st rounder was traded for a 7th round pick, so it is obvious things were not working out in St. Louis. Ghost Rider
His main thing guys is he has to stay healthy. I would almost bet that is the reason so many Rams fans are glad he's gone. He might be a bust fort them but for a 7th round pick, he could be solid if he stays healthy. It a big if.

Finally
Imagine if JA98 ended up on IR for 2 seasons. He would be run out of town too. If he were a stud superstar, we would not have gotten him for a 7th round pick.Agreed. No one is going to be happy with a first rounder that spends most of 2 years on a bench. We didn't have to suffer through that so he comes to us with a fairly clean slate. He gets a do-over. There is no pressure on him to start here so if he is a decent backup he can spend even more time getting healthy and staying that way. LVfalconfan
An amazing cornerback will look poor or mediocre on a terrible defense.

Foxworth did not have the same rep as Ty Hill. Hill has been riddled with injuries his entire career not the case with Foxworth. What DB have the Falcons developed in the last 5 years. Denver developed Foxworth so you can't count him. TD made a great trade and filled a position last year and based on the SD game he will need to do the same thing this year. I think TD knows that and he is working on it.
