NFL Network

So I bored out of my skull, and I figure with training camp open, that certainly the NFL network would have something interesting going on. So I check the channel listing for what's coming up, and they are showing highlights of the 1998 season. What the hey? With training camps being open, and preseason starting soon, this is the best you can come up with? Highlights from a season that happened over a decade ago? Who is their program director, and how did that person get the job? I guess it's true what they say. It's not what you know, but who you're sleeping with.

You.... a Falcons fan... are complaining about the 1998 season?

LOL! No I'm not complaining about the 1998 season. Don't be silly. I'm complaining about the fact we're entering the 2009 season, and their talking about a season that happened over a decade ago. Yeah, it was great for us, but let's talk about the 2009 season.

I am guessing that you are really not digging the review of the 1971 Dallas Cowboys. I am though, especially the groovy music NFL Films used to include.

LOL! Yeah, nothing like watching highlights of a team that played 5 years before I was born. Who needs training camp updates when you have the 1971 Dallas Cowboys.

Oh, and if that's you in your avatar, then I have to say, you have a remarkable resemblence to Ben Folds. That's a compliment.

Cool I like Ben Folds. That is me in the avatar, standing on the field at Super Bowl 43 (had to throw that in).

i agree with you...its just like they never play NFL replays for the Falcons. if they do its when we lost. Even all the things we did last year its still the same old teams. Steelers, Colts, Pats, Giants, and Eagles. NEVER Falcons....i'm pissed

That is pretty much true. I do a DVR search every couple of days for Falcons stuff, and they never have it. ESPN 2 is showing the 2008 Falcons yearbook on Sunday though. Set your DVRs.

Yeah, that's really the core of my complaint. I can understand if during the winter months they have to show this, cause nothing is going on, but that's obviously not the case at this time of year.

Good to know. Thanks for the heads up.
