if by "brilliant", you mean someone who obviously doesn't understand the difference between democratic socialism (of which orwell was a follower) and revolutionary communism that corrupted hte original goals of socialism (as orwell saw them).

I love the book Animal Farm, but I think that particular viewpoint/comparison has been thrown upon just about every administration someone didn't agree with.

Its a cycle that will never end. Once those in power reach a certain point, the country falls into chaos and either is reborn or stays in a state of ruin.
