The Mariners have acquired both pitcher Ian Snell and shortstop Jack Wilson from the Pirates in a seven-player deal, major-league sources confirmed to CBSSports.com.

Going to the Pirates in the deal are catcher Jeff Clement, shortstop Ronny Cedeno, and three Class A pitchers -- Aaron Pribanic, Brett Lorin and Nathan Adcock.

The Pirates must have an amazing amount of young players right now.

with the potential of the players that they've acquired the past couple of years, i can see them being the next group of Rays in 3 years. LaRoche, Hernandez, Clement, Doumit & McCutchen (don't think they were acquired, but still a good looking players).....they've got some young talent that could be tough offensively. that Garret Jones kid has been tearing it up for them as well.
