Horn another possibility for Bucs?

Roy Cummings reports there's been at least some dialogue between the Bucs and the agent for receiver Joe Horn.

Not a huge surprise because the Bucs have been linked to just about every available or possibly available receiver this offseason. Names like Plaxico Burress and Marvin Harrison have been thrown around. Nothing's happened yet, but it's a pretty safe bet the Bucs, despite their youth movement, will bring in a veteran receiver at some point.

The only sure thing they've got at receiver is Antonio Bryant. They're also counting heavily on Michael Clayton, who's not a sure thing. After that, they've got nothing but a bunch of young guys, although some of them have upside.

idk man. even if you guys dont want to admit, Horn was a valuable person on our team in 07. Not for what he produced on the field, but the mentoring and leadership he showed our young bucks White and Jenkins. He set an example to our WR's on how to conduct themselves as pros on and off the field. He is one big reason we have the receiving corps we have now. I wouldnt start celebrating about his possibilty in Tampa just yet.

I wouldn't expect Horn to do jack against us except run his mouth.

Bryant? Different story. He rough housed us last year and if we line Crisp Houston and Bent Grimes up at corner he will probably do the same this year.

I certainly agree with you that he helped mentor White and Jenkins. No doubt about that. In terms of model of behavior on and off the field, you seem to have forgotten how much crap he talked. He certainly isn't T.O., but if you open your mouth to the press at all about how many balls are getting thrown to you demanding more, you're immediately lose the mantel of "model behavior off the field."
