I believe we'll still draft a TE in the later rounds of the draft depending on whether our needs on the defensive side are filled...he'll be able to learn a great deal under the best TE to ever play the game in Gonzalez...wow, I'd never think that he would be a Falcon, amazing.

he said 3-4 years in a statement. :)

I was surprised and excited by that. You could tell just from his official statement how happy this trade has made him. I think he's reinvigorated. As long as there isn't some out of nowhere meltdown that screws this up, I think two years is the minimum he plays now.

I just knew the Eagles were gonna get him,

but he just plays one year you know all the greats want to retire after that Super Bowl victory.

Seriously great pick up for the Falcons though.

What's the word are the Eagles taking Knowshon or are they going Pettigrew

Dude caught 96 balls last year. He doesn't show any signs of slowing down at all. I bet he can play at least 3 to 4 more years of very good production. He is a freak of nature and is very durable.

I know he wants to play that long. He has seen first hand what this offense is capable of doing.

he said he's playing 3 or 4

we'll have a TE of the future to groom by then i'd think

what would make this trade even more sweet and add a funny side to it is if

by the year or so TG retirement TD trades for the UP and coming TE, that might

be in the league 3-6 years already (at the time) to replace gonzalez. To me TE

is a crapshoot when it comes to the draft. IMO there just never seems to be any

TEs that ever live up to the hype ( per say ) . Crumpler for instance was one of

the better young TEs in his time here, but he wasnt a 1st rounder. that's my main

point in this ramble is just id never draft one in the first round. Now that I'm mentioning

it, what round was Gonzo drafted?
