Jedi-Falcon
I cant fathom the Falcons being an AFC team, but what if we were? Would we do better in the AFC South or the NFC South?
datfalcon
thats hard to say with the other teams in the AFC we would struggle. but in conference we would swap 1st with indy alot.
Jedi-Falcon
Basically an AFC South team would have to come to the NFC South if we swapped. Logically, that team would be Jacksonville. So we end up in a division of:ColtsFalconsTitansTexans

Jedi-Falcon
haha if we could pick our division would you go NFC or AFC west?We cant do that because we are geographically not in the west of anything. The only 2 possible choices for the Falcons would be either South or East.

Jedi-Falcon
1980Record: 12-4 NFC West championYea I know that. But we cannot be in any "west" division with the way it is set up now. How we ended up in the NFC West back then still befuddles me, it made no sense.

paulitik
I would love to swap the Cowboys and go to the NFC East. I could actually go to all the Falcons' away divisional games. DC is only a few hours from Philly and NJ.
illest_will
it would be just like the South...Saints are a poor man's Colts, Bucs are a poor man's Titans and Texans are a poor man's Carolina

Finally
Part of the fun of football is having long-term rivals. Every time the divisions get re-arranged we lose part of our identity. I don't want to have to learn to hate new teams again. I am just getting used to where we are now.
